Secondary wont surprise anyone lol. It hasnt for 20 years....its not going to start now. Thats what happens when you dont attempt to fix something....it stays broken. All nineteen
In all seriousness cheeno...I think a majority of games will get close. Just glancing the schedule over I'd say there are nine or ten that have a legit chance unless this secondary surprises.

You answered your own question. That and I could go into detail but you already can guess what I'm going to say.
Lacey is the likely starter now.
My guess is they pick up a vet during cuts or make a trade. Anybody besides Alphonso Smith will make me happy.
The only reason i dont come down hard on Phonso is cause every real bad play i seen of him was someone else screwing up in order to cause it. When he got trucked into the endzone Levy whiffed on the tackle at the 5. When he gets toasted deep its cause Spievey bites on PA more often than not. Smith to me has the best ball skills on the team and belongs in the slot. I hope someone in TC shows the ability to be the #2 cause Smith could do a heck of a job in the slot imo.
Smith ball skills are nice but he gets burned alot and it's not just Spievey. Even though Spievey isn't close doesn't mean Smith shouldn't be close on deep balls. I agree he would be better for the slot but that is where Lacey should be. Lacey on the outside is brutal like Smith and with Berry gone if they move Lacey to the outside it could be trouble. I really hate relying on rookies too but that might be what will happen with Bentley. Hopefully someone decent gets cut like a Trufant for Seattle if Walter Thurmond beat hims out.
Sometimes the CB plays in front knowing a S is suppose to be back. Spievey's mess ups can have a big impact.
Greenwood could play if he gets healthy. Berry was undrafted and was the 3rd corner right away. Lacey and Bentley could be solid but they aren't far and away better than Greenwood. I saw SLH come in and play right away from a smaller school. Bentley or Jonte Green aren't exactly from a blockbuster school. They all have different skill sets as well and Greenwood is the most raw but might have the best size and speed. Lacey was also undrafted but obvioulsy has experience. He fits the slot but the outside is wide open.
Greenwood didn't have the coaching at Albion obviously but now he has NFL coaches to work with him. Though missing time in TC will hurt.

Yeah your right. I can't wait until Greenwood gets back then we're all set at #2. Hell he runs faster than Houston maybe he can take over as the #1.
I didn't say he would take over the number 2 or we would be set if he did or better than Houston. Greenwood has a chance to play is all I said. And beating out Lacey or Bentley wouldn't be that hard. Don't put words in my mouth.
Corner from LA Lafayette, corner from Albion or Corner from New Mexico State. Who cares if he went to a small school they all did. Jahri Evans is stud guard from Shippensburg. Brent Grimes went there too.
No I said that. I'm on your side. I was just taking your point to its logical conclusion. Because if all he does is play it isn't really relevant to the discussion is it?
T.O. Went to UT Chattanooga therefore Greenwood can start!
