Which might've turned out great, but he tore an achilles. Awful luck.

a lot of people tear an achilies. mayhew decided to move on from the guy he traded up for before he even gave him a chance. Now hes playing an UDFA infront of him and a 6th rd wr from ND. If you have confidence in guys you pick...you don't make those moves.

I would've liked to see Leshoure get a little more of a chance to play too, but maybe he's just not the same player anymore and they can tell in practice. Plus Schwartz hated him for whatever reason.

"Our research concludes that no running back ever has recaptured sustained pre-injury form after rupturing an Achilles tendon. Perhaps it's because the position relies so heavily on a combination of speed, cutting ability and physicality." http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap10...s-tendon-tear-a-death-knell-for-running-backs

And Joique happens to be probably the 2nd best undrafted running back in the league, behind Arian Foster, so playing behind him isn't proof of a guy sucking. I will admit though that I don't understand why Riddick was ahead of him on the depth chart last year.

Not in favor of trading up but only because I don't see Mack as being that far above Barr or Mosley. Don't get me wrong, he's elite but those guys are well above average.

Van Noy in the 2nd would be a great pick.

So many possibilities. First draft in a long time with a lot of mystery to it a week out.

i don't like it either. we need to build the depth. this FA has helped with that to some extend, Tate, Ighedio and the like. i say draft Barr or Gilbert at #10 or trade down to get Denard or Mosley.

LeShoure played a ton in 2012. He got his chance after the achilles. Then we got Bush and Bell won the job. Riddick plays special teams so that explains why he makes the active roster over LeShoure. LeShoure is the better back out of the two but way worse on special teams.

He didn't play because be was in some serious doghouse. You don't play a ST player over a third RB who was a second round pick unless Shorts was pissed of at him..

A couple days out from the draft. Hey Slick what are your projections for the first two rounds?

i'd love to see them trade away leshoure for something. a bag of walnettos,

He has no trade value. Maybe he can get some touches early in the year and get some value back. But I am not holding my breath

If he gets any touches its a bad scenario for the Lions.....because it means Bush or Bell is hurt.

Well if we are running more of the Saints offense we are going to be using all 4 backs. So he can get his touches without the others being hurt

We have two very solid running backs in Bush and Bell. If both of them are healthy and we're still using all 4 running backs, Lombardi needs to reconsider his playbook.

The Saints only had 391 rushing attempts last season. Bush and Bell had 389 between them. They are by far the best two running backs on the Lions roster. I see no reason to bring Leshoure into the mix unless one of them gets hurt.

id like to think brees was better than Stafford at extending drives too....just assuming there. So even with longer drives their running attempts were lower. Also, it seems just from what ive heard is Caldwell is looking for more "balance" to help with Stafford so its not all put on him. That would equate to more run attempts for us....however linehan said the same thing the last 3 years....doesn't always happen.
