I actually sent my resume, with a cover letter explaining my experience in IT and how I would use advanced statistical analysis and a mastery of database design and reporting to identify talented players in both free agency and the draft that would otherwise go unnoticed because they haven't played for major programs, as well as calculating their proper salary for negotiation purposes, and using advanced metrics to put together any bonuses they may receive.

It sounded pretty good. I won't get a call.

Sheldon White is considered around the league to be a shrewed talent evaluator and a lot of the under the radar pick ups in FA that were attributed to Mayhew were actually him. He was interviewed for the Eagles GM job not long ago.

I had heard he interviewed for a GM position a while back, but didn't know which team.

I've also heard he is considered a well respected talent evaluator.

Like I said, I'm not about to shit on the work the man has done in his career just because he worked for Mayhew. If they hire him full time, I'm willing to give him a chance.

I've stayed out of the GM thread because quite frankly I know dick about what it takes to be a GM. You're basically hiring from guys who have never been a GM but show promise as talent evaluators or you're hiring an ex GM that another team got sick of them failing.

Unless you're in the interview room, I'm not sure how you could possibly have a strong opinion of any of these guys either way.
