This was the third time you ignored what I posted and/or quoted to you.
Nobody bitched or reported anything, I removed your post. You come over here and start shit about the Lions here, and don't have the testicular fortitude to go tothe Lions board and start your whining about their fans. and to top it off insult regular posters here.
Do we have a problem.

Yes, it is crap that the Tigers are thrown under the rug come September, despite being arguably the best team in the American League. It is crap a playoff team does not get the attention it deserves, while a mediocre 3-0 NFL team is being treated like they are the sports kings of this state despite having 1 playoff win in 50 years. I vented on this board because I assumed many other Tigers fans were as upset as I was that this was happening. Ignore the fact I was insulted because I don't have the post count some others do, sorry to everyone that I have a life and am not a "regular poster." Damn, I should rethink some things and get my priorities straightened out. I'm thinking I may just drop out of school and quit my job so I can be a respected "regular," that way I can feel worthwhile while sitting on my computer 15 hours a day.

Good day.

Sorry, dude, but IMO, it's a football town. The passion for football in Detroit trumps hockey or baseball. Don't get your panties in a bunch about it. Come playoffs, you'll see the passion for baseball...chill the fuck out.

And the Lions are not mediocre...get your fn head out of your ass, buddy.

I hope tears weren't running down his face when he was writing this.

OK kid, your sarcasm/smug posting has been duly noted. Using the excuse of low post count, when many other posters started out the same and then resume your arrogant trolling behavouir. No one insulted you with any form of swearing, before or after you called a poster an ass wipe.
Whatever Tigers fans think either way, is fine.
and also you now have my undivided attention.

For one this guy is a Spartan fan and an admitted bandwagon jumper.. Makes other MSU fans look bad IMO.. I wouldn't have said anything but he pretty much hung himself with those last two posts.. Also, I love how his screenname is that of one of the most overrated PGs and MVP winners of all time..

Haha you should have seen the Pistons espn boards during the 2010-11 season.. It was a ghost town and I was basically the only one posting at times...

I dont understand how the tigers "are being thrown under a rug". They're still a big story, but theyve already clinched.when playoffs start, they'll be the toast of the town. However, right now the lions have won three to start the year. Beat the bucs in tampa, who just shut the falcons down and beat them. Just won a dramatic come from behind game and blew a team out last week. Even if they are overrated, they deserve the attention.

The Tigers will be back in the spotlight when the playoffs begin. I will admit that the last couple of weeks I have been more locked into football but that is only because the Tigers have had the A.L. Central sewn up for a couple weeks now.

Can't blame Detroit fans for being happy about the Lions success. If the Lions do pull out a winning season Detroit will be a 3-sport town. Don't think that has happened in my lifetime. When the Tigers were good, the Red Wings sucked. When the Red Wings were good, the Tigers sucked. The Lions either sucked or were mediocre. I can't imagine anyone thinking that something that builds morale for a city that sorely needs it is a bad thing.

I remember huge game threads during the 0-16 season. No basis for a surge in bandwagoners. List to the stories and post on the Lions board, people have been rooting for 15, 20 or even 40 years (in my case and many others). I doubt this joker is even a Tigers fan.

this is the sparty fan known as NashOwnsLA or something like that on the espn board. I'm pretty sure i've seen him post on the tigers board over there.

Fuck you.... I was watching the Lion's, in a full body cast because of a broken leg in 1970... So take your crap and get off the board.. Most if not all the posters on this board are nowhere near being a bandwagon fan you talk about.. Which i am sure you are one... The thing is... Most of us on this board root for the Tigers, Lions, Red Wing.s and Piston's.. Then we pull for the Wolverines at a 85% clip... You on the other hand are probably a Tiger Spartan, and packers, vikings or Bears fan... I hate fair-weather fan's like you.... By the way Nim-rod the Tigers clinched the division already... Playoffs start next week...

Holy shit it's getting rough on this thread. I think it's pretty obvious what's going on, and yeah, I'm kind of repeating other posts. The Lions are the big talk for a couple reasons. They've been bad so long and finally look like an NFL team again, football is the biggest sport in America now, and the Tigers already clinched. Hardcore fans are still concerned about homefield, but most fans have no clue there's something to play for still.

Relax people and enjoy the ride. We've got our first division winner in baseball since 87 and a 3-0 Lions team that just won in Minnesota for the first time in over a decade. It's a great time to be a Detroit sports fan so lets just enjoy it and not rip each others head off.

The OP is entitled to his opinion, which must of will disagree with. But as a lifelong Detroit sports fan, it feels great to see the Lions win and get some hype. We have been deprived of both for far too long. Baseball is #1 for me and always will be. In this country, however, football rules all other sports. So it's not surprising to see the Lions get hyped over the Tigers. Now piss off you hater!!!

Well, I'm no bandwagon Lions fan; I was on board with the Lions going all the way back to when I first came on this board, all the way back in August, or whenever it was...

Football will always be number one, that is just the way it is , it is America's and I think Michigan's also favorite sport, we may not agree, I for one prefer baseball and the Tigers but I do love the Lions also, but that is just the way is is ans always has been DO TIGERS and LIONS :)

I just don't understand the comment about these fans were no where to be found the last 10 years? The fans have always been there for the Lions. You admittedly bailed in 2005 but most fans have actually stayed with them through the bad times. That's been clear. In fact most people are so Lionized they can't stop saying things like, "just wait, these are the Lions." People need to realize they've won 7 regular season games in a row including 4 on the road. The fans have always been there...although many are still having trouble accepting the prosperity.

Whats funny is Detroit is called Hockey Town USA but in all reality any time either the Tigers or Lions have success the fans will blow up for them. Evident by the flow of fans in 2006 for the Tigers playoff push and then during the entire playoffs.

Now with that said you can understand before 2006 it had been since 19 years since the Tigers had made the playoffs and 22 years since their last pennant so the fans had been waiting a very long time to enjoy some post season action and it showed then as it does now as well.

BUT Detroit is VERY passionate about Football and quite frankly as a lifelong Lions fan its been a long time since I could get excited about anything other then having a high draft pick in April. The Lions haven't made the playoffs since 1999 and haven't won a single playoff game since 1991. Oh yeah the last time the Lions won a championship (1957).

Now understand not only the playoff drought but as well what this team AND its fans have endured over the last several years. The 1st ever 0-16 season in NFL history and a combined record of 39-121 since 2001.

With that said this is the 1st year in a very long time that the Lions have garnered attention heading into the season from members outside of its fan base. That includes a lot of talk about this team actually having a realistic chance of making the playoffs. Couple that with the current 7 Game winning streak (Dating back to last season) as well as the 3-0 start this year and you should understand that this is the 1st time in years that fans really have something to get excited for and quite honestly if these Lions keep winning this town is likely to go crazy over Lions Fever.
