Already sick of the Lions

The reason nobody cares about the Tigers since football returned is because the Tigers play baseball and nobody cares about baseball when football is on. I bet all the ratings for baseball have dropped except for the teams that are still trying to make the playoffs.

How can anyone say that the Lions are Detroit's team, and not the Tigers. 20 years of failure won't back it up. seriously wtf are they thinking, it's always been the Tigers and then the Pistons, and then the Red Wings, and then if there is nothing else on, I'll watch the Lions. just because they start out at 3-0 makes them Detroits team...I don't think so.

It pisses me off how an overrated 3-0 team is getting twice the love out playoff-bound and beyond Tigers are. These "fans" were nowhere to be found the last 10 years but now they are the biggest superfans in football. What a joke.

Well, I'm no bandwagon Lions fan; I was on board with the Lions going all the way back to when I first came on this board, all the way back in August, or whenever it was...

All kidding aside, the OP reads like an old troll from the Old Board (just like how we used to refer to our European roots - those of us with them, of course - as the "Old Country)."

It's likely HighStreet, but could be ClarkstonDevil, or something like that, or some Popeye something, or something like that.

All those trolls could have been the same person.

For you maybe. The Tigers and Lions, outside a few Sundays, really don't compete for the same audience. The Pistons, no sorry. Bad boy era maybe, win again another maybe. The Wings, might be considered hockey town, but maybe that's just because hockey has poor attendence throughout the rest of the league.

Football in general is huge. It's a part of the culture the way baseball was 50 yrs ago. Football dwarfs all sports whether it's HS, college, pros. The SB is the biggest spectacle of the yr. Betting on FB is prob greater than the other sports combined. It's huge. Enormous. Gigandous. Even if the Lions stunk.
