Ansah Georgia Tech highlights

ur seriously trying to argue that blowing up a fullback without the ball that is 60 lbs less than him when he goes unblocked is "highlight" material? seriously????

And you're the one who analyzes a Dlinemen on sacks and sacks alone if i can remember. I could be wrong but i doubt it. That alone is ignorance bonafide. So it doesnt surprise me that you never even seen an ounce of talent on Ansah's tape.

Sad....

Never ever said de's should only be judged by sacks lol.

in regards to avril....maybe..... cause that was his only job. He had 1 v 1 his entire tenure here. Or did you think him flying up field and getting tossed was good for the run defense?

Never said i never saw an ounce of talent on ansahs tape. I said the first 2 minutes of THAT highlight tape was pathedic as far as a "highlight" tape goes. The fact youre arguing that is effing histerical lmao. I give you props though.....i coulda swore you were going to argue that the sky is blue. /clap

Arguing what, you fn dummy? I never said Ansahs tape was incredible. I seen a kid who looked like he was explosive at times but he also lookwd raw as hell. Thats it. You're the bufoon making comments about how he blew up a FB over and over again because thats all you see. You're about as sharp as a bag of marshmallows when it come ro football.

And yes, it was you coinciding sacks and Dlinemen. It was regarding Suh...lol. Dont evwn try and lie about it. Who cares anyways? You showed your true knowledge by saying Fox doesnt watch tape because hes hurt all time. Possibly the dumbest thing ive read from you and Mitch on this board since the ESPN days....bravo buddy....lmfao

I say suhs sack numbers are down....you see that i base all dts on their sack numbers? Youre starting to make me think humans evolved from monkeys.

Mitch, defending the Triple Option is all about Assignment Football. He should solid discipline in this. If he goes after the guy who ends up running 50 yards, then he is undisciplined. That guy is someone else's responsibility. If you play against the Triple Option and start deviating from your assignment, they will eat you alive. Every guy on D has their specific assignment and if one single guy fails to do his job the O gets big gains, that is why the teams who run the Triple Option are so effective despite huge size matchup problems. The Academies run that and when they have a QB who is extremely good they win enough games to make a Bowl and have even won some of those Bowl Games. And don't underestimate the OL being taught how to cut block like no other teams cut block. The DL have to adjust to that blocking scheme and learn how to avoid the cut block, something more fail to do than succeed.

The fact Ansah blew up his guy every play, whether he had the ball or not, is actually a very big positive. It shows focus, athleticism at not being cut block, discipline, and ability to do his job effectively.

None of this is a guarantee that he will be successful in the NFL, but people who understand the difficulties in playing vs Triple Option will recognize he played extremely well in a very difficult situation with limited practice time against a unique O that he had not seen before and would not see after.

I never said otherwise. He stayed on his assignment. Again, never said otherwise. Just pointing out that in a highlight reel I like to see smashing and making plays not staying in assignment.

and most times in the triple option the DE is left unblocked. Which shows very little skill for a DE to get out of his stance and kill the guy without the ball. I get the assignment piece...but to call it a highlight reel is a slight reach lol. Show me some film of when his "assignment" is to kill the qb. We gave him credit a half a page up for being able to follow directions.

What's not to like? The guy was all over the field. The play where he takes down the back behind the pulling tackle? Sick.

It's nothing amazing, just game tape footage of him during a game. He played well. More importantly, he did what he was told to do. It's a team game, not an individual game. He didn't play poorly at all, and he didn't play anything out of this world.

Let's say he doesn't do what he's told and just goes after the ball. Don't you think the OC isn't going to realize that and game plan around it? He should. Instead the tape would show Ziggy struggling and being abused.

Damn, people...

I think some of you are overreacting. Call it, call it anything but highlight reels. Is it a highlight reel if a RB goes out to catch a pass but it goes to another guy? Is that what we wanted to see from a J. Best highlight? No, we wanted to see him make plays.

This isnt a hightlight film its honeslty a scouting film and should be identified as such. You see the guy learning the triple option during the game and completely shutting down the full back who is the most dangerous guy in a triple option. He played smart and fast and gave BYU the ability to win. If you dont know football or understand the Dline positions than you wont like this. You can like football and not like this highlight I just wont ever listen to anything you say about football because it shows you are clueless.

Because I don't like the 1 1/2 minutes of the "highlight reel" in which you agree, Its not a highlight reel. Yeah, you're the smart one :hehe:

It's not a highlight reel, just his plays during the game. If you only watch 1.5 mins then you didn't even make it out of the first Q.

its not a highlight reel its game film. You obviously dont understand how to watch tape or see player potential. I saw a kid who was a raw player but has huge upside and one his battle more than he lost it. Also he played assignment football and showed huge athleticism. He is going to be very good and will contribute early.

Bah....you already had me convinced. :)

And his sack numbers were up again this year, so wtf are you talking about? lol
