Bell should start ahead of Reggie Bush???

I just don't trust Bush to stay healthy. I think he should only get about 15-20 touches a game.

It's not as much the amount of touches as it is the quality of touches. They need to pamper Bush, let Bell do all the heavy lifting. Like in Week 1 when we were killing clock and Bush was running between the tackles, that type of stuff needs to go to Bell.

Agreed.

5 ypc last year too, not a knee jerk reaction. I never said that Bell should start, just that he should get more touches. Not more than Bush...but more than he saw in week 1.

Then change your thread title because it certain sounds like it..

Dude went from security guard to breaking 9 tackles and running over safetys. I love feel good stories but I'm not stupid. Don't even have a problem with it, just think his usefulness will run out next time he takes a piss. Sooo get the most out of him before he's suspended.

Are you serious???

It doesn't. But the fact you're having a knee jerk reaction because of 1 game when Bush was out, against the freakin' Redskins.

Knee jerk reaction? Where have you been? Bell has played well against other teams as well. Not only the Redskins. Do you even fn watch the Lions play?

He shouldn't be getting more touches over Bush, bottom line. Which is what he's insinuating .. so maybe you need to watch more..did you not see the 2nd half against Arizona.

Bell thunder
Bush lighting

Wouldn't mind seeing what could happen with both in at the same time

Not sure if he was insinuating anything. It looked like he was asking a question and looking for a discussion....to me anyways.

And i agree about Bush. He's the better option and more dynamic. But im not an idiot who says that Bell had ONE solid game against the Redskins and thats that. He's played extremely well, filling in for Leshoure last year and earlier this year. Do you agree or are you going to be completely fn ignorant sbout it?

I never said he had just 1 solid game, but he's the one posting now and referring to his 11 tackles broken against Washington.

I know what he said. He was right, Bell broke tackles in that game, he breaks tackles in every game. Even when he gets tackled he's falling forward. You're the one saying he had a knee jerk reaction after one game where in fact he's done it all along...your words.

His 3.2 yards a carry is boss..he broke a few tackles against Washington but his overall game wasn't stud like. Plus he can't catch a pass if his life depends on it..

He's actually a very reliable pass catcher out of the backfield. Not sure where you get that from? Because he had some drops last week?

Also in no way shape or form do I think bell should start over reggie lol. I can't believe people are saying that.

Just to point out, in 2012 Bell had 52 receptions on 69 receiving targets, averaging 9.3 YPC.

This season (after only three games) he has 19 receiving targets with 14 receptions for 12.3 YPC average.

He's actually one of our best pass catchers.

Yeah he's definitely better than Kris Dunham's puppet show, the amazing kneeless wonder, Pettidrop, Republican candidate Pat Edwards, Morgan Spurlock of Super Size me...am I forgetting anyone. He should be proud.

Little bit, you don't watch him and go, wow how was this guy a FA?

Of course i do but it happens all the time. I dont know much about Bell and his college days, but the talent pool is huge and kids slip throught the cracks. Look at Fauria for instance. A kid his size not drafted and especially the TE position. He should have been at least drafted IMO

Further proof that Mitch either doesnt watch Lions football or is completely clueless. Which is it?

This isn't a guy that slipped through the cracks, he has been on rosters before and cut. He was out of the league and only got picked up by us out of desperation, now all of a sudden he is running people over and semi beasting? Don't get me wrong I'm glad we have him and he's playing good, maybe I'm just a lions fan and think its too good to be true.
