Bentley ACL

It looks like they are going to have to start that first round rookie they drafted in May. Opps...or go on the scrap heap and look for rejects that 29 other teams didn't want!

better sign and suit up champ. blahhh yes maybe one of these years the Lions will put more emphasis in the draft on needs over wants and stop putting themselves behind the 8 ball like this.

Caldwell said he did fine. "Looked like a young fella" Kept the production down against Cruz and others but was beat a few times.
-1.2 coverage for all the PFF lovers out there.

We only have 4 CBs. We are signing someone or promoting Seisay

Storks (Round 4) doesn't start for Pats. Richburg(Round 2) wouldn't be if Schwartz didn't get hurt.

Do you need me to list the centers picked in the first 3 rounds that started right away vs centers picked in the first 3 rounds that were "groomed"?

Raiola is one. He didn't play his rookie year. Raiola was like a 10 year groom though

Stork was brought in to compete for the starting job. So he doesn't count...

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots are holding their sixth practice of training camp Wednesday morning, and rookie center Bryan Stork is not present.

Stork, the fourth-round pick out of Florida State, is competing for a starting job with incumbent Ryan Wendell and veteran Dan Connolly. He appeared to suffer a lower-leg injury midway through Tuesday?s practice and walked off with members of the athletic training staff and did not return.

A potential extended absence from Stork (6-foot-4, 310) in training camp could significantly alter the competition at center, which is one the team?s most important position battles in camp.

Stork played in the pre-season. Don't know how many practices he misssed but that was early in camp. Depends when he came back. And he may not have won the job. He could be groomed.

Raiola clearly wasn't getting beat out. I'll take several years of Swanson. Chill out on the short term only approach.

duh that's what were arguing. Our GM placed grooming a back up center that was CLEARLY not going to start over depth concerns all over the place and a weak secondary. CMon man...try to keep up.

I'm saying there is nothing wrong with grooming. Lots of team groom someone for one year. Chill the hell out on the short term only approach. Swanson can end up being a good pick for us.

And Swanson is depth. If Raiola or a guard gets hurt and we didn't have Swanson, you'd be bitching too. Lawson did a solid job as did Isa. Slay and Mathis started and did well.

Wait until they suck at least to complain
