Best win of the year...

Yeah, I was citing the standard YPG ranking but I don't care if it's a measurement of how many push-ups the Defense can do .... 110th to 35th in ANYTHING is incredibly better.

Huh?

2010 - 12 turnovers after 8 games
2011 - 14 turnovers after 8 games

2010 - 29-35 in rz, 26-35 td's in rz, 191 of 245 possible points
2011 - 31-35 in rz, 25-35 td's in rz, 193 of 245 possible points

Maybe you should leave this thread alone and keep studying MSU's schedule.

the other figure I saw measuring RZ play measured it differently than you did there. I was looking at the stats on the NCAA's website.

and the turnover margin is what I meant, even though I lumped that in with the offense. that might still be inaccurate; not sure what it was through 8 games LY, but I know overall we were negative (and near the bottom of the NCAA); this year we're positive.

Even if you just look at the old school RZ #'s (listed first above) the difference really isn't that substantial.

Yeah, they were -3 in TO margin to this point last year (-10 on the season), but are +6 this year. It's really come down to fumbles. Last year they gained 7 and lost 14 overall, this year gained 14 and lost only 2. -7 vs +12. You'd think that will start to balance out next year, but hopefully Denard isn't throwing as many picks by then either.

It's insane. I would have been thrilled with a jump up to 60.

ND and persa both would have tore up and put up 40+pts agaisnt a rich rod team. And the nobody would even think the next 4 games are winnable

How many more big 10 wins does hoke need to catch rich rod already?

Tommy Rhees didn't tear up Michigan last season. You might be right, though

I still think Michigan would've beaten both. All 3 teams would've scored more points, though.

UM would have put up 40+ points in those games as well. IMO.

3 down, 3 to go.
