Bowl Games

I'll believe NW will beat out Michigan for recruits when I see it.

I hope not, but after what I saw yesterday, its inevitable for the kids that want to go to "school." They will be taking their fair share of high ranking kids from Stanford. They already get their share of 4*.

Lol, Franklin proves he's still an idiot at heart. Leaves a TO which would have forced UW to run another play deep in their own end. Dipshit city, man.

He said his ribs were hurting; so maybe he decided just to head into the locker room and put an ice pack on them...

I saw it as a risk/reward judgment call.

The Washington back had ripped a pretty good run to make it third and short.

A stop on third down leaves very little time to do anything after the fourth down punt; on the other hand, another good run like the one before and Washington has a first down and chance to heave a long one downfield to potentially make something happen themselves in the closing seconds.

If Penn State had stopped the ball with little or no gain on that second down run, I'm pretty sure Franklin would have called the time out.

They were at I think the 11yd line. Just one more play can result in a turnover or a safety. Or if UW makes a dipshit call to pass it on 3rd down like they did, it would have forced a punt. I call that timeout with the lead being 14 points.

McSorley fucks up again. Interception deep in UW territory. Could have been 42-21 but it stays 35-21 and gives UW life.

Okay.

I don't know how many time outs UW had at the time, but I'm sure Franklin did.

So if they have any time outs and they convert on third down and short...fair chance the plan could backfire and Washington is in position to make something happen.

Again, if it weren't for the relative success on the second down run, my guess is Franklin would use the time out.

But the second yard gain made using it way more risky than had that not happened.

You're fired, I am not renewing your contract.

I dont know how UW didnt win the Pac12. They def have a lot of team speed. Their offensive playcalling leaves a lot to be desired, though. Its not very good, but the PSU turnovers have kept this game close.
