Brandon Inge..................?

"Inge worked out all winter in Ann Arbor doing MMA and strength and agility training. He claims to be in the best shape of his life. 'I was embarrassed by last season, so i decided to kill myself, come back and try to hit 25 home runs"

Dumbass will never learn, YOU ARE NOT A POWER HITTER!!! So sick of his delusional thoughts.

Of course he's going to TRY and hit 25 HR's. This guy is special...wow.

I think he will hit around .215 and 5 HR this year. It's because he's a team guy. He doesn't want to steal the spotlight from Prince.

Either Danny Worth or Andy Dirks will probably get left off the team because of Inge, pretty sad that they both would likely out-hit him as well as Worth playing better defense at 2B.

This is a drama that's not likely to end until we decline his option for 2013, too bad for the young guys.

I think Inge is gone. I noticed no one is hanging to closely to him in the dugout and around the field.

Being a selfish, egomaniacal, asshole has that effect on people.

Dude, I just heard the other day DD was praising Inge at 2nd. That means he's staying.

Danny Worth has a sub .700 OPS career in the minors. I think Tiger fans need to start thinking of him as a career minor leaguer, not an answer in anyway to any big league issue.

Detroit Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski: People will be shocked when they see how well Brandon Inge is playing at 2B

Sure looKs liKe ChucKy ChecKswing is a locK @ 2B, at least to start the Tigers' regular season, or at worst within a 2 player platoon position scenario.

Well if this is true, where does that leave Raburn? LF is Youngs.

Inge might be good at 2B, but it would not surprise me to find out they are just humoring him. Raburn is a better hitter, maybe not fielder, but I can;t see Inge winning a job over Raburn.

Perhaps with the DH spot open, Leyland will be tweaking the lineups prior to and during the games, the latter based on the Tigers' hitting and scoring runs, probably less often due the lack of it, or more often for "improved" late innings IF defense, more than he has in recent seasons.

But you may be correct with the "humoring him" part in Inge's case, and we will soon be finding out what their real plans are, one way or the other after the regular season begins next month, if so.

DD keeps his cards pretty close. Praising Inge at this point does not necessarily mean much.

You cannot praise Inge. I mean it won't for trading purposes. People knows he hit .197 last season and they're aware of his shitty career numbers. People like this don't get traded.

But we all knew Inge would be ok at 2nd base. That wasn't the issue. He has to be able to put the fn bat on the ball in order to make this club. My God, please don't tell they've fallen under Inge's spell again...

Exactly. Who would trade for this putz? Some team that is absolutely "LOADED" in offense and doesn't give a shit about one guy, but is weak on defense? No way, man.....

Mario Mendoza was traded twice in his career. I think it's unlikely that Inge will be traded, but not impossible.

You have a point, but c'mon man. If they could get someone for Inge, i'd be ecstatic to say the least...

It's simple....as long as he can hit his career average, he will stay at second, which helps defensively, the other choice being Mudhen with his horrible UZR/UZR150 at second.
Inge hitting a little would push Raburn to leftfield more often, which has another domino effect of getting Young out of LF, where he is the worse of the two Raburn/Young in left defensively.
