Hopefully Tiger's management does what right, and releases Inge. Take Worth north and we will be freed from Inge's delusional statements and check swing strike outs. He has shown this spring, along with all of last year(in the majors and the minors), that he can't hit anymore/ever.

I can't help but feel, after listening to Inge these past few years, even if he is let go he will not say he stunk it up, Tigers are going with a younger player, he was screwed, he had only "one bad year", I had a good spring, ad nauesum.

It's funny to read that the Tiger thought he would have no problem handling the defensive end of second base, bit that in the end, it would come down to hitting.

And then Raburn decided to put on his Ted Williams socks, and Inge has to be thinking: "Fuck You! Raburn!, you screwed me!".

When the Tigers moved Miggy to 3B,. it took alot of playing time from Kelly. When the trade for Fielder was made, I was hoping Kelly would get some spring training time at 2B. Had Don done fine there, then Worth and Inge aren't needed. That would allow a bench spot for a nice pinch hitter / DH-type or speedster.

Kelly can play just about anywhere. I think he still gets his games in.

Does Leyland have a twitter account or something? We need to flood his box with fire Inge..

Sounded today like Dickerson and Price were trying to brace people for hearing the inevitable, that Brandon is going to get cut because he does not have the versatility or value that someone like Worth does.

They both said (without actually saying) their is no need for Inge on the team, wonder if they know something already that has not leaked.

Brace people? I'm getting out the bubbly.

Lloyd McClendon, the Tigers' hitting coach who served as the acting manager in a 6-3 split-squad victory on Sunday over the Philadelphia Phillies at Joker Marchant Stadium, stopped far short of saying Inge is a lost cause as a hitter.

"I think he's actually swung the bat pretty decently," McClendon said. "He's hit some balls hard and overall his approach has been pretty solid.

"He's used the entire field, plus he hasn't had a lot of checked-swing takes. He's not had much luck with anything finding a hole, but I don't think that's gotten him down. He's a guy who continues to grind it out.

"We all want positive results, but I'm comfortable with what I see as far as his approach," McClendon said.

"He's been aggressive in the zone. He's been attacking the ball ? and that's what I want. He's just not gotten the results to this point."

The above is what concerns me. McClendon and Leyland just don't get it.

It sound like he thinks Inge is a hard working that's getting bad breaks. Instead of what we see, a hitter who stinks.
