Though this isn't where most Tigers fans though we would be at this point in the season, we are playing in a series for first place in the division.

With all the struggles this line-up has had, we have a chance to take the lead and run with it from here.

Hope the Tigers take advantage and JV starts it off tonight with a dominating W!!!

gonna be tough with porcello v sale then turner v anyone not my dead grandma. offense will need to step up the rest of the way.

Porcello OWNED the Sox today. Boesch stepped up big and Jackson had two big hits!!

Tomorrows game is the big one. Do we take control or go back behind? I say the offense steps up big and scores 10+.

I would have taken 2 and moved on. But now that we won the first 2 but Turner, hard to know what to expect from him.

This was a tough 7 games. At the start of it I would have gladly taken 5-2 but I think we can get the win tomorrow and hopefully start to pull away.

Don't want to jinx anything, but we are looking like the team we all expected to see this year. The offense is finally clicking, the starting pitching has been pretty good, and the pen has been solid too.

Also, I never thought I'd say this, but I'd like to see Laird in the lineup more often.

Going to the game today. Turner better turn in a gem because I am in the ondeck circle, within throwing distance.

Funny.....haven't seen many "Fire Leyland" threads in the last 2 weeks or so.

The kid did O.K. He needs to learn how to bust them inside.

That's because the Tigers have been hot and the games have largely been managing themselves. Not a lot of late/close game mismanagement opportunities. Give him a few close games, he'll foul 'em up.

He's doing the exact same things he has done all year long. Guys are producing. That's what wins games. Managers get too much blame. It's not like he changed up his stratgey or anything.

Yep.

Too many people try to blame a manager for what players do. Leyland has not done a single thing differently, just more guys are hitting, and the pitching has been better.
