Cabrera a batting title

young just grounded out, he's back down to .339. here's hoping he makes outs the rest of his ABs!

rangers got another run though, theyre up 5-2 now. fuckin worthless angels.

hes 2-4 now, still at .339. if he has one more out tonight, i think cabby has it in the bag for sure. as is i think it will be very hard for young to make up the ground in the one game left.

One game could do it. Say Miggy goes 0-4 and Young 3-5 or something.

Based on the above:

Cabrera .3409

Young .3401

Young at 3-4 = .3407

That would be wild if they ended that close.

Looking good.

A hit or two should pretty much lock it up, unless Young goes off with a 5-5 game or something.

I hope Cabrera starts off with a double down the line on the 1st pitch he sees.

3 doubles shy of 50.
yep, great year for him, and just think how many RBIs he could of had if he had someone hitting in front of him earlier in the year.

Wow, what a difference a 6 months make. Things weren't looking as promising as one would have hoped right before the season with Miggy getting himself into more trouble.

Fast forward 6 months and he's probably going to win a batting title, Cy Verlander has a great shot at winning the MVP, and the Tigers are in the playoffs after clinching their first ever American League Central Division Championship.

Lions looking pretty slick too...

Yep, great time right now to be an avid pro-sports fan for Detroit's teams...well at least 3 out of 4 of them...heh!!

I have never attended any college, so I usually root for all of our state's major college sports teams, and do so mostly equally, which means that I never am very disappointed with who emerges as the victor, when Michigan plays Michigan State each season, unless one or the other wins in an upset, that causes the other to drop, or drop out completely from the national rankings.

Of course some of that could change in a couple weeks, depending upon how the Tigers' postseason, and the Lions' regular season progresses, SO....in my case, I am going to fully enjoy and bask in the glow of being in a sports "nirvana" for as long as it lasts, which I sure hope continues uninterrupted and into next year!!

Cabrera finishes at .344,
young and gonzalez around .338 late in both games, Miguel Cabrera is 99% sure of a Batting Title and a 'Career Triple Crown' winning the Homerun title in 2008, the RBI title in 2010, and the Batting Title in 2011.
