Calvin ...wtf

That's what your argument has shriveled down to? That Brees had more PRACTICE TIME? Wow. Time to abandon thread.

He even said that Brees had a healthy Colston to throw to....not realizing that Colston was a rookie in 2006!

He needs to stop comparing Stafford to guys like Brees and Manning and start using guys that are more similar. Guys like Cutler, Romo, Flacco, Eli Manning, Andy Dalton, Carson Palmer...those guys are more similar to Stafford.

oh....you mean the rookie WR that was Drew Brees had...that guy?

Brees had a better run production, better protection and a faster Reggie Bush too. And Devery Henderson first round pick to stretch the field. Yet Stafford doing better.

Spreading the ball around is one thing. What I meant was the offense in New Orleans (prior to this season) didn't seem to miss a beat when Colston/Moore/etc would miss time. When I lived in Tampa I saw quite a bit of the Saints and watching their offense was something else. It was common to see a stat after a TD drive where Brees threw to 5+ different receivers (successfully).

Despite Drew Brees' insane numbers, taking one of their WRs in fantasy football is always a huge risk because you never knew who was going to have the big day. In Detroit, that's never really the case, I've been hoping Lombardi would bring some of that here.

Brees>>Stafford. It's really that simple.

Last week it was Russel Wilson, this week Brees. His argument in a nutshell for why Brees is better than Stafford is that Brees had more weapons. ie Colston, better run game, faster Reggie Bush. Solution - need more weapons.

Andrew Luck was one of those guys that wasn't better than Stafford on his list. Not anymore. He's going to be a great one, and you can already tell that just three years in.

Brees ended 2006 as the 3rd highest rated QB....Anyone here think Stafford is on that same trajectory?

Stafford has Eric Ebron, "the matchup nightmare"....what else could he need?

Since he is 18th now...I really doubt it. Maybe if he has a really good game this week he can catch the guy in front of him....Kirk Cousins.

Luck has looked so good this year. Just seems to have that x-factor that Stafford lacks. Wish I knew what it was.

Stafford started better than brees did. Stafford has a great chance to trump that

The ability to stay calm under pressure, read the defense and put an accurate ball in his receivers hands.

No he doesnt, he might not even end up the 3rd highest rated qb in the NFC North.

2006 was Bush's rookie and arguably worst statistical season in his career. Whoops.

McAllister was coming off an injury the previous season and was on the beginning of his rapid decline. Whoops again.

Henderson while stretching the field, was a second round pick and had caught more than 35 passes once in his career.

Better protection is about all I can give you...made a great steal in Evans middle of the draft too, the rest you just kind of pulled out of your ass.
