Tagging Suh is not dumb!!!! You want a top 5 defense in 2015? Suh and Mathis back pretty much ensure that barring major injuries (Slay,Levy,Quin,Suh,Ansah).

We'll draft no matter what. The cap space would be there in 2016 even if a long term deal never came. It gives us two drafts to rebuild DT.

If Mayhew lets Suh walk, it could be a big mistake. He would have a ton more work to do, to get the defense back to where it needs to be, plus fix LG and get a backup CB rookie that can start eventually. And a RB wouldn't hurt either or number 3 WR.

Guess you don't want a top 5 defense either.

Cap space is pointless if you are filling them with mediocre players in free agency and relying on them to be your main guys. There are good ones like Quin and Tulloch out there sometimes but not all the time.

Draft well and re-sign your own. Suh should be kept.

Fairley is an injury risk. Him being your main guy is not a good thing. And Fairley is no Suh. Suh is not a guy you can just plug in one good and one solid DT. It's unnecessary to lose Suh for the sake of cap space. Bring Suh back we'll have a top 5 defense. Fairley and some other guy. Not so sure.
