Chris Houston out?

Houston is a good corner, Carey can do better than what Spievey did, Durant can play better than 2011, in fact he did in 2012, and Bentley and Bartell can do better than what Wright and Berry did especially if they get the pass rush help back. I think any of the 3 OLBs on the roster now could outplay 2011 Levy as well.

what in the world makes you think bartell or Bentley are any good. Bartell sucked on the rams and was injured all the time. Then he went to the raiders and sucked and was injured. The RAIDERS released him and chose to play a safety at cb instead of him lmao. The guy is awful. Bentley will never be anything more than a dime or nickel....if he can ever stay on the field.

Did you really just say Carey is good? lol

Bartell shut down Brandon Marshall. Raiders are idiots. Bartell was decent as a Ram until injury.

Bentley,Green and Greenwood could all be the next Sherman and Browner. Give them time to develop.

LMFAO at you complaining about injuries. Milliner is hurt numbnuts

And Carey played well this year. He had a high grade and didn't get beat deep. Wendling and Coleman were the safety problems. And Silva started out ok then sucked. Florence was the big CB problem. Green and Bentely are developing rookies. I really hope you don't want Milliner a rookie as the Lions number 1 CB. And the real reason the secondary sucked was unexpected bad DE play from EVERY DE. Jackson, Young, Avril and a stud rookie can turn it around.

That dude runs his mouth. Titus Young beat him for a TD and Browner. That will be my comeback for that tool

And Don Cary had only a 41% catch rate against him, 31.9 QB rating on him giving up only 1 TD with 2 int. Solid in run defense. Carey played well in 336 snaps for Detroit.

"Who the hell is bill Bentley"

"Hes a db for the lions"

"does he even play"

"no"

"lol tell LKP hes dumb"

LKP, the problem u r not understanding is ur scenario requires everyone to be healthy and playing at their absolute best.

The playoff teams have playmakerss who are playing better than these guys at their best, even when those playmakers are not having great games or injured. U r asking the lions players to play at their upmost level every play and that is not reality.

The lions don't have guys that fit that description, not to mention they still have almost zero talent in depth. Will they put together some great games, maybe even have a good streak of games? Possibly. Will it last all year? No f'ing way.

U r living in a fantasy world, like a video game where players are always playing their best every snap. No matter how much u dream, that is not reality for any team. Playoff teams don't put "If" in their scenarios like u are with the Lions.

quality teams also have back ups that come in and play well like when a ladarious webb goes down for the year. We have.....wendling and durham.

2011 play from Tulloch, Avirl, Jackson and Young is very realistic. They can in fact play better than they did in 2011. Avril and Jackson played well in 2010 too. Young is a young player who is learning. Tulloch had many good year with the Titans before a great 2011 with the Lions. Same goes with Pettigrew in 2010/2011 being better than 2012. And Stafford 2011 is his potential and he can duplicate it. Calvin can surely get 12-16 TDs again in a season. Having the Lions play to their capabilities of their talent is not a fantasy. It is something that is very possible to happen. And you should want it and expect it to happen as well.

Face it, Avril's gone.

Not gone yet. I've seen Lions hit the market and come back. Tulloch for example. Houston the year before. And we have a top 5 pick for the DE. Give me Avril or someone who can do what Avril did in 2011, maybe better in run defense.

It has nothing to do with Tulloch and Houston but the fact Avril wants to get paid. As in 12m per kind of paid.

And he'll hit the market and be severely disappointed. Tulloch wanted 6-7 million per like DQwell Jackosn. Didn't get it. If we lose Avirl, still have Young, can get Jackson back and get a top 5 DE.

That's a lot of maybe's. No guarantee we draft a top 5 DE, no guarantee Jackson will be back, to like he was, and no reason to think Young is anything more than a backup. I hope it all happens, outside Avril - I don't want him back. But there's a good chance it won't.

Free agency hasn't even started. You really think we go into the seaosn with Young, Lewis and some Round 2 or 3 DE. You're delusional if you think that is even a remote possibility.

Jackson said he wanted to be back by the way. Gurantee he's one of Mayhew's 9 guys he wants back. Avril all depends on the money. I'm confident once he hits the market he'll come back with his tail between his legs.
