Yeah, I think it's a paternalistic/peer pressure move. But I also think we've got so many morons running around it's probably the move that saves the most lives.

I think it's the 2nd reason more than the first. There's a little transmission after vaccination, but I think there are a lot of unvaccinated people that only wear masks if there's the peer pressure of everyone else wearing masks.

I don't think you can lie about getting the vaccine, can you? Is there not some certification available? And will another year of masks be enough? Two? Ten? Is there any indication that this virus will ever disappear? Or that the next one won't be more deadly?

Not at all. Flu vaccines are generally 30-60% effective. The 2014-2015 flu vaccine was an extreme outlier at only 19% effective.

If unvaccinated people weren't wearing masks, you wouldn't need documentation to go to a store, not wear a mask, and just let people assume you're vaccinated.

That's excellent and I'm glad something's working. Getting old sucks and any win is a great thing.

Any time anyone talks shit about organized sports I need to remind them how much maintenance effort health requires when you get older. Organized sports can get you used to things you better learn to do.

We bought a chest freezer specifically for it. They're not very expensive and hold quite a bit. I think we got ours for less than $150 on sale.
