I don't think we have to pretend America is perfect to sing her praises. Power corrupts, nations aren't monolith across time or at a given times, and propaganda obscures truth, sure. But America is like THE EXAMPLE of someone in power leaving something on the table for those who aren't.

to be honest - at least according to those pics - China's concentration camps look cleaner and better run than ours.

I guess they are better at ethnic cleansing. We're just going to let kids live in squalor

That is correct. It's, unfortunately, the bane of all civilizations, as the indigenous tribes were doing the same to each other, too. But, then, they weren't building towns or making internal improvements to their conquered domains.

We can break the cycle by not using the fact that we might not be quite as bad as other people*, to justify bombing their countries or being the number one seller/exporter of weapons on the planet.

Fat chance of that happening though, right?



*excluding our history prior to abolishing slavery and ethnically cleansing Native Americans on to reservations... and excluding however many people we killed directly by attacking Vietnam, Iraq, Libya, and Syria, and indirectly by sparking unrest and civil wars in those countries and neighboring ones, going back to 1960.

Hard to say who the worst American was. Being a shining beacon of democracy, we tend to order massacres and bloodshed by committee or through a governing body, rather than a simple order from a czar, premier, f?hrer, king, etc.

What you fail to comprehend is that IW is not often the direct source, rather they simply write up stuff based on what they find elsewhere. having said that they do tend to sensationalize sometimes in their write ups. The basic premise however is often still valid, that and their opinions are right roughly 80%-90% of the time IMO. The Chicoms will eventually succeed in getting them shutdown and imprisoned for incitement if I had to guess. Counter narrative free press isn't welcome as the world slowly burns into complete oppression and enslavement.
