Delmon Young out of ALCS

Delmon hit .387 with a .406 OBP vs. Texas this season (per Mario on Twitter). Huge loss.

Yeah the problem right now is that Young had the same injury earlier in the year when he was still with Minnesota and he missed 19 games so he might just be done for the remainder of the playoffs.

But everything I am hearing right now are just saying he is out of the ALCS and not out the remainder of the playoffs so I have no idea right now what were looking at with him.

I think like KC said there is a rule in MLB that if you get replaced in one series you have to sit out the next series too.. We need to check this?

Not sure about that, unless that rule was implemented post-'06 postseason, b/c IIRC, ex-Tiger 1B Sean Casey did not play for the Tigers in their remaining ALCS games, due to a calf-muscle injury that happened in the middle of Game 1, but returned for the WS, but damn if I can remember now if he was replaced in the ALCS, though, as he might not have been.

If they get past this one he can play in the WS. With Texas 3 LH starters hopefully Raburn can get hot.

Ouch....this hurts. Wouldn't be surprised to see don freaking Kelly in the 3 hole knowing leyland lol.

Not verses a lefty like Wilson... That would make no sense..

Unavailable Delmon Young's full stats (as a Twink) vs Rangers:

31 ABs 2 runs 12 hits 2 doubles 1 HR 2 Ks 3 RBIs

.387 BA .406 OBP .548 SLG .954 OPS

meh...

:(

This is bad news, Delmon has been money and was really looking great out there.

We are without 2/3 of our starting outfield now (Boesch, Young), that's why you need depth to win it all.

Well I know nothing is really decided by numbers but Raburn actually had better numbers this year against Texas. Their defense is pretty much a wash (Both are horrible).

Nice he actually did put Cabby in the 3 hole tonight.

Raburn in LF batting 2nd,
Magglio in RF batting 5th,
Peralta, Santiago 2B, and Inge batting 7th, 8th, and 9th.
Game Thread at 4.

There's nothing good about that at all.

Cabrera 4rth, Martinez 5th was the best thing about Jim's line ups.
