Derrick Rose to Pistons on 2 year deal

Serious question here.. Why do anyone here like the NBA any more? The way the NBA is these days you need multiple max contract stars. Most teams won't have a chance to compete Will the Pistons ever win again? I mean if you get a good player they get tired losing and quickly want to leave. The NBA is starting to wear on me.

I basically feel this way about the majority of pro sports... If my team is good, I'm all in. If not, I'll watch with one eye. I still enjoy all the playoffs and championships, but my interest drops dramatically if the Wings, Pistons, Tigers, Lions are not any good.

I feel the opposite about college. I can watch damn near any college football or basketball game.

I generally do that as well unless I see future potential improvement and /or they're my favorite sport(s), like the Red Wings. Though people will disagree with that assessment. I remember when I was growing up and if the Tigers were 40 games out of first game 162 I'd still be listening to the radio. Those times are gone. It's hard to watch these Tigers'. If baseball started hitting other players into the boards I might watch more.

Yeah in the early 70?s I would still listen a lot in the summer even though I know we had zero shot at catching Baltimore. Then 1972 happened and we were excited again until my heat was broken by the A?s. Then the long drought until the early 1980?s and then 1984. Broken heart in 1987. Then another long period of nothing till 2006. Now all 2006 to 2014 was one big bridesmaid period sadly. So close 2006, 2009, 2011,12,13,14. Man are we one bad club now.

But that is why I keep rooting for the pistons,Wings, and lions ! One year !

Should try to trade Drummond and Reggie to the Celtics for Jaylen Brown , Gordon Hayward and Baynes !! We would still have enough loot to sign a cheap , veteran C to help/compete with Baynes .

Is Baynes still a Celtic? His name is not listed with Boston at the NBA trade machine. Just curious.

I wish we would have tried to get Wagner. My Michigan Bias is strong with that kid lol!

Oh duh he signed with the Suns , threw him in there to make the contracts work moneywise . Maybe Drummond and Snell for Brown and Hayward then ...just throwing shit out there haha

I'll still root for them just hard to watch all 4 quarters, both halves, every game etc.. at times.

Lol thanks I was looking all over for him on the trade machine but I had forgotten about the Suns. I didn?t check them. I just saw on Nba network that Drummond was on a list of potential trades from guys making as much money as him. Now they were not saying the Pistons were shopping him so my guess he was on that list because his deal is up in 2 years..

Man I wonder what we could get for him? You mentioned a deal with Boston. They just lost Horford, and Baynes is in Phoenix now. Do the Celtics have any rebounding? Maybe we could fleece Danny For AD, and get some picks. Probably not.

Maybe Washington would trade for Beal...Isn?t Washington starting over ? Trade Jackson and Galloway and Thomas/anyone for Beal and Wagner. We would probably have to throw in a 2nd round pick. I know I?m just throwing darts. Start Beal and Rose. Have Smith, and Brown off the bench. Or Beal and Brown and have Rose, and Smith as back ups.
