at the time, he was obviously worth a 3rd. That's how the trade market works. If there are desperate teams, they drive up the market.
If you go back to the Tate trade thread, I thought it was a good move. I'm not taking anything away from him...he got market value because there were two teams that were desperate. Those two teams created the market. It wasn't a theft, it was market value at the time.
Just before he was traded, articles were coming out that Tate was going to go for a 4th or 5th but the Lions were asking for a 3rd. We did not get market value for him at all. We got more than we should have. The Lions bamboozled the Eagles on this deal. I don't care what anyone says but he's 30 yrs old that's not even a #1 option. He also became a #3 in Detroit behind MJones and Golladay. It was a genius move...
