Detroit Lions FA Thread

maybe Decker as well...

They really like Edelman. I could see them going after Sanders, they need a field stretcher, and they went after him once. Although Decker gets open deep.

Allen seems like KVB, don't have a problem with a short term deal just avoid the dead money years.

I think Lions have zero shot at Allen. He has already said he wants to get paid or he will retire, he isn`t taking anything less than he is worth. I have read he wants 8-10M per year, lions certainly don`t have that, and if he budges at all it will be to sign with a legit contender.

Decker is a Jet 5yr 36.25 w 15 mil guar . He will be in culture shock going from Peyton to Geno lol.

So is everyone happy with the Tate signing or did everyone want Decker? Personally I wanted Decker.

I was happy with the tate signing. But was surprised by how decker jumped at a 7 mil per 15 guarantee deal to join a shitty team. If I was to chose 1 of the 2 deals after they happened I think id go with decker on the outside for that money than tate on the inside at that money. Still happy we have tate though.

Yeah I am for sure happy we signed Tate. He can play both inside and out. Still want us to draft a WR, and according to Rappaport, we are still interested in trading up to get Watkins. Would be sick CJ Watkins Tate for the next 5 years. And then you are set even if Calvin gets hurt. I don't know how happy I would be trading picks to draft another WR, but that would be lethal if old Staff could get them the ball that is hahah

Both came at a decent price. If I had to choose I'd go Tate, he was a very good in a run first offense, Decker was great but may be skewed by Peyton. As was already mentioned wait till he gets a load of Gino.

Lost Willie Young to the Bears :( 3 year deal 3mil/year

good deal for a former 7th rounder... too bad we couldn't resign him though, it leaves a much larger hole at DE now

Ansah, Jones and Taylor I'm fine with at DE. But Young did produce and is better in run D than people think.

We'll see if they get a vet or draft one now.

Tate filled a huge need on offense. We still need one more WR though. I never want Durham on the field again.

I would have liked Willie Young back but the Bears gave him 3yrs and 9 mil and we werent going to give him more than 1 year deal. So we do need a DE now. Along with a S and a TE, C, FB, CB and a K. Granted we have the draft to go as well.

Had no idea he was a free agent. Could be huge and would give more flexibility in draft.

I have a feeling someone is going to drop and we will get something other than WR or CB. I could also see them trading the 1st and 2nd to move up and get Watkins.
