November 30, 1941: Byron 'Whizzer' White scores a touchdown on an 82-yard interception return in the Lions' 21-3 win over the Cardinals at Briggs (Tiger) Stadium. White later served as a Supreme Court justice.

December 3, 1962 Dick "Night Train" Lane intercepts Johnny Unitas at the goal line to seal a 21-14 win over the Colts at Tiger Stadium.

December 4, 1949: Wally Triplett scores a 62-yard punt return touchdown in the Lions' 28-27 win over the New York Bulldogs at Briggs (Tiger) Stadium. Triplett was the first African American to be drafted and play in the NFL.
He died in 2018 at age 92.

December 6, 1953: The Lions beat the Bears 13-7 at Briggs (Tiger) Stadium to improve to 9-2, en route to their second straight NFL championship.

December 8, 1957: The Lions beat the Browns 20-7 at Briggs (Tiger) Stadium. They lose Bobby Layne for the season but will still go on beat the Browns again to win the NFL championship.
