Football Outsiders Q&A Part 2: How much is Theo Riddick worth?
PrideOfDetroit

In his career, Riddick has gained 1,039 yards receiving and 209 yards rushing. So 84 percent of his total yards from scrimmage have come through the air. That's a very, very unusual split. I checked the top 500 players in yards from scrimmage in NFL history, and here's a full list of players who gained 80 to 90 percent of their yards from scrimmage via the pass:

Even breaking it down into single seasons, it's hard to find too many players in that 80 to 90 percent range, especially with 800-plus yards from scrimmage like Riddick had last year. Twenty-two wide receivers have done it (counting Joey Galloway twice), but only two running backs.

Lions notes: NFL analyst believes Detroit may have the best defensive front.
Former NFL lineman and current analyst, Brian Baldinger, believes the Detroit Lions may have one of the best defensive lines in 2016.
Brian Baldinger: I think the Lions front 4 have a chance to be one of the best in the NFL.

Lions LB Jon Bostic is out indefinitely after undergoing surgery to repair a fractured fifth metatarsal in his foot.
Coach Jim Caldwell said Monday that he's "not sure" if Bostic will "return this year or not," but we'd bet against it. Bostic suffered the foot injury in a training camp practice last Wednesday. He was competing for a backup job.

Lions placed WR Andre Caldwell on injured reserve with a broken bone in his hand.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Caldwell is expected to be released with an injury settlement, which will give him a chance to sign with another team once he is healthy. Caldwell looked likely to earn a roster spot early in the offseason, but the additions of Anquan Boldin and Andre Roberts put a dent in his roster odds.
