The Detroit Lions announced Sunday that 8 players were signed to the team's practice squad.

Allen Park, Mich. –The Detroit Lions announced today that the following players were signed to the team’s practice squad: WR Jace Billingsley, CB Alex Carter, WR TJ Jones, TE Brian Leonhardt, QB Jake Rudock, G Brandon Thomas, DB Charles Washington and RB George Winn.

The Lions also announced today that they were awarded LB Thurston Armbrister via waivers from Jacksonville and placed LB Josh Bynes (knee) on Reserve/Injured.

The Lions finished off their practice squad, signing WR Isaac Fruechte and LB Steve Longa. Fruechte played college ball at Minnesota and was with the Vikings this offseason. Longa was with Seattle this offseason and played college ball at Rutgers.

Lions HC Jim Caldwell on why they kept Dan Orlovsky over Jake Rudock -- said it was a multitude of things including practice, games and meetings. "That evaluation is wide and broad."

Eric Ebron, Graham Glasgow and Corey Robinson returned to practice Monday for the Lions. Only player not there was LB Jon Bostic, who is injured. Jim Caldwell wouldn't address Bostic's injury today. You can see Ebron (No. 85, with the hood) here.
