ERIC EBRON NEEDS TO HAVE BREAK OUT YEAR.
Detroit took Ebron with No. 10 in 2014. The 6-foot-4 TE has shown flashes of his athleticism, however he lacks consistency. ESPN's Field Yates believes Ebron needs a productive campaign this season in order for the Lions to consider as a long term option. Make-or-break season.

The Lions have made five cuts so far as it heads into the afternoon:
WRs TJ Jones and Jace Billingsley; OL Gabe Ikard and Brandon Thomas and LB Khaseem Greene.
They'll also eventually put TE Andrew Quarless on the suspended list as well if they choose to keep him.

With a half-hour left until the deadline, the Lions have made three surprising moves, cutting QB Jake Rudock, WR TJ Jones and OL Michael Ola.
Ola was injured during camp.
Rudock was improving during camp and Jones seemed safe as the No. 4 WR.
