The Lions have taken DE Armonty Bryant and OG Brandon Thomas off the PUP list. Bryant, remember, is suspended for the first four games of this season but can participate in preseason.

Ex-Lion Veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin will play for the Bills this season after reaching agreement on a one-year deal Monday.

TE Eric Ebron run as he tries to come back from a hamstring injury. He's still not practicing but has been doing side work like this the past few days.

Eric Ebron, T.J. Lang, Brandon Copeland, Cornelius Lucas, Cornelius Washington and Paul Worrilow among potential Lions contributors sitting out practice. Lucas and Copeland are the new names there after practicing yesterday. Ebron and Ryan Spadola did running off on the side.

Lions LB Nick Bellore was walking off the field toward the locker room during 11-on-11 drills. The Lions are pretty depleted defensively with seven guys (including Bellore) out.

Lions play of the day: Backup cornerback Johnson Bademosi had a pretty interception of a Jake Rudock pass intended for Jared Abbrederis. Bademosi read the play well and then made an over-the-shoulder pick on the ball followed by a nice return. Had cameras been allowed to be rolling on the play, it would have made a bunch of highlight films.

Overheard: More like seen...former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr, who was once Lions DC Teryl Austin's boss with the Wolverines, was at Lions practice. So, too, was Pistons guard Ish Smith. Not quite the level of Chad Johnson visiting last week, but still notable.
