The Lions have waived CB Josh Thornton. Had a tough roster road at a deep position. Possible practice squad candidate.

The Lions have waived WR Noel Thomas. Thomas had been impressive during the preseason and would seem like a potential practice squad candidate. Tough position for Lions this year.

The Lions have waived seventh-round pick Pat O'Connor. He was in a battle for a depth DE spot.

The Lions have cut LB Antwione Williams. Williams looked to be a potential starter throughout the preseason. This could mean good things for some of the Lions other bubble players, including LB Steve Longa.

The Lions have waived TE Robert Tonyan. This means Lions are either keeping three tight ends or good things for Khari Lee.

With the Lions trading Johnson Bademosi for a 2019 sixth round pick (first reported by Detroit Free Press and confirmed by Adam Schefter), that's two picks the team snagged in trades this week.
Also got a 2019 fifth rounder from San Francisco for Laken Tomlinson.

Lions are keeping 2 QBs as Adam Schefter reports Brad Kaaya has been released. Kaaya had been the team's No. 3 QB from the start. Wouldn't be surprised if Detroit puts him on the practice squad.
Matthew Stafford and Jake Rudock are the team's QBs.

The Lions will be releasing OL Leo Koloamatangi. Seems like a potential practice squad candidate who can play center. Had impressed early in camp but faded late.
