90% or better of Tigers fans probably felt the same.
Tigers are probably stuck with lamont and lloyd until Leyland isn't the Tigers manager.

when Castellanos is at the heart of any A's demand, you've got to back away if you're Detroit. Gonzalez will go elsewhere.
Boesch is in play, no question, on any Gio discussions. But there's no way Billy Beane deals Gonzalez to Detroit without Castellanos.

Surprise, surprise, surprise. Buehrle reportedly insists on a four-year deal (with no-trade). Smartest move the Tigers made was saying no.
The market changes radically, day to day. Minus a no-trade, Buehrle was doable at 3 or 4 years. But with a no-trade, that's trouble.

Suspect a guy like Duane Below will be ready for a rotation spot ahead of Turner, who needs a bit more seasoning. Smyly might also beat him.

Agent said last week they wouldn't be surprised if 20 teams went to Zumaya's throwing session.

Smyly is 22, Turner is 20, which is a huge difference in development.
As for Below: He definitely has the power stuff. Needs work on change.
Below's fb is better than 90. He's no soft-tosser by any means. Any comparison with latter-day Nate Robertson is, in my view, way off.
Nothing has changed with respect to Tigers' pitching plans. They'll still sign a veteran who can offer insurance until the kids are ready

Regarding Zumaya : If similar offers, slight chance. If he gets major league contract, he's gone.

Tigers asked on Gio, did not like price. Offer had to start with Turner, and more.
A's asking teams for high-end, low-price return for Gio. Preference is for players with zero or little big-league experience
