Ebron and Pettigrew 91 plays.

Why do you keep comparing wr's to our tight end? Makes absolutely no sense,

Because the reason we were told he was drafted in the top 10 is because hes not a te.....He's a blue chip offensive weapon. i predicted at that time that guys like moncrief Bryant and Adams would all put up better numbers than our match up nightmare. Bryant was just activated for the first time last week and already has better season totals than our match up nightmare. Thats why...

hell...an undrafted rookie has 22 catches, 354 yards and 3 TDs.

The opportunity cost was defense with the Ebron pick. And our defense is doing well.

Let's see what Ebron does when he gets back and in the following years first before we start this hindsight nonsense.

Yeah but he isn't the first blue chip tight end to not produce during his rookie year. In fact it happens most of the time to that position. Most of every single great tight end in the league has underwhelming rookie years. Except a small small small few. And on the flip side.. Rookie wr's constantly have good years.

Agreed. Plus judging at mid year is not the smartest. If we did that. Detroit Lions 2014 NFC North champions.

We could judge some other hughes gems. Hughes got Jason Jones, George Johnson, Glover Quin, Tahir Whitehead, James Ihedigbo, Rashean Mathis, DeAndre Levy's expectations of play dead wrong so far. And Tate he underrated.

Oline we all got wrong. And Bell/Bush too. In a bad way.

Stafford we'll agree to disagree on his contribution to 6-2.

How many tes get drafted in the top 10?

Vernon Davis. Who struggled.

Enough with the hindsight. Second half of the year to come and several more years.

We didn't get defense with the pick, but our defense is very good so that doesn't matter at this point.

its not hindsight when its predicted. Ill be sure to update you on the real match up nightmares throughout the season. Not some joke of a top 10 pick that had 10 catches on 110 routes ran.

Jason Jones who has 18 sacks in 6 years...what exactly did I get wrong?

George Johnson - don't recall ever saying anything about him other than I didn't know who he was. Most people never heard of him so im not sure how that makes me "wrong."

Glover Quin - what about him? Hes fine. By no means is he a stud Safety.

Tahir - a back up lb we spent 2 picks on, lost value. Hes still a back up lb. And now that he plays every week he seems to blow a coverage in every game. Good job tahir.

Ihedigbo - hes late in coverage just like delmas was. that's the only negative thing ive ever said about him and I was right.

Mathis - again, not exactly sure when ive ever said anything bad about him other than hes aging and we will need to replace him in the near future....which he is.

Levy - hes had 2 great years. I bashed on him his first 4 years....when he sucked and whiffed in the hole ALL the time. I wanted Durant to stay over him...and I was wrong and already ate that crow several times.

Should we bring up all the times youre wrong about players? Like everytime you type something....it ends up being wrong. Never met someone whos been wrong as much as you....didn't really think it was possible that someone could exist that EVERYTHING they said ended up being wrong. It really is amazing.

So you point out that not every player is an all pro? Brilliant.

Quin is a stud. Jones Ihedigbo Mathis having good years. Johnson and whitehead producing. Levy stud. You were dead wrong on the entire defense Hughes

Most TEs aren't taken top 10 either. You expect your top 10 pick to produce quicker overall.
Rookies have been producing quicker and quicker in recent years.

gotta give him some credit....hes leading the league in dropped touchdown passes.

Really? Because looking at the top ten right now sammy Watkins is the only one making any kind of big impact.

And while there aren't many tight ends taken in the top ten my point is.. As much as rookies have been producing faster they have not at tight end...at all.

Then they shouldn't have taken a TE in the top ten. Either way it's not looking like a good pick so far, which just enforces what a lot of us, me included, thought when Ebron was picked.

Give Ebron time. Nobody cares about any of your time tables of when he should be good. Still have a second half to go and several seasons after that. Lions defense doing well so that was the opportunity cost we lost. Still could be a great pick

I'm not saying he's a bust, I'm just saying that he was picked to help us out on offense THIS year and so far he hasn't done that and we're halfway through the season. If he makes a big positive difference the 2nd half of the season I will be happier with the pick, but that will likely be harder to do with Fauria back soon taking away snaps from him.

The defense has been doing very well, but it will be interesting to see how much of a hit our D-line takes while Fairley is out (4-5 weeks is the optimistic estimate). If we had picked Aaron Donald instead of Ebron, that wouldn't be something to worry about.

Davante Adams Today: 7 catches 75 yards
Dante Moncrief Today: 7 catches 113 yards 1 TD
Martavious Bryant Today: 5 catches 83 yards 2 TD

...

Ebron Career: 10 catches 103 yards 1 TD

just sayin....

another 2 TDs for martavious "I eat ebrons for breakfast" Bryant....
