Election Aftermath

Well, at least half the band did.

EDIT: not, really; I guess only Keith Moon died before he got old. Entwhistle was 57. That's probably "old" by most standards (except old people's standard, but who cares about them?)

Everyone who was in the movie Tommy who?s still alive didn?t die before they got old.

Including Roger.

I would never try to put them down, just because they once got around.

Donald Glover: TV & Films Are Boring Because ?People are Afraid of Getting Cancelled?

The left has attempted to continue to maintain the doublethink of claiming that cancel culture ?doesn?t exist,? despite having weaponized it to routinely cancel ?problematic? actors and musicians who dare to dissent from ?woke? cult dogma.

As we previously highlighted, The Who legend Roger Daltrey made similar comments to Glover last week when he said the woke generation was making everything miserable, including themselves.

?It?s terrifying, the miserable world they?re going to create for themselves. I mean, anyone who?s lived a life and you see what they?re doing, you just know that it?s a route to nowhere,? said Daltrey.

LOL, that's idiotic. Do you really believe if "cancel culture" went away, the studios would stop cranking out XMen sequels, Batman Returns Again/Forever/Before/Etc., more comic book crap for adult children, or another Star War, and go back to making quality films again?

I never would either, but I'm a big Who fan.

It's amazing Pete is still alive...

Yeah, I would have guessed this.

It would appear they are enduring.

Don?t know how the pandemic will effect debut of the reboot, but if anyone could have survived the last year, it would be Townsend and Daltry.

I saw Daltrey/Townshend in Chicago a few years back (Jesus, like 7 years ago now), on one of their "Final Tours" that they did. Looks like they did another one a few years later

It was okay, as far as old classic rock acts go... Eddie Vedder was there and did a couple songs with them.

of course they would still make them, they would just suck a little less without the woke social justice messaging - and they'd probably make more money.

But what about Star Trek?

Would Star Trek get canceled?

Because that would suck.

Comedian Dave Chappelle partook in a video interview with Joe Rogan on ?The Joe Rogan Experience? podcast about cancel culture. He told Rogan that he recognizes the change people are attempting to bring through activism and accountability for prominent folks but denounced cancel culture:

I?m very lucky to be able to see people who are great at things up close,? Chappelle said. ?Even on this podcast ? it?s one of the joys of my life getting to know these people and knowing and seeing them be human.?

Chappelle said, ?I hope we all survive it,? while referring to the cancel culture storm gripping society. ?That?s why that cancel culture shit bothers me. I?m not even opposed to the ideas behind some of these cancelations. I get it.?

Rogan said, ?the inclination, all of it, is to make the world a better place.? He said social media and public shaming have ?gotten abused and misused by the wrong people and bad actors, but at the end of the day, the thing they think they?re trying to do is eliminate bad aspects of our culture.?

I don't know what Glover is talking about. We're living in a golden age of TV, movies, and maybe something that needs more attention as its own thing, limited series. The only thing I'm not sure about is Star Trek because I'm either too cheap or too overwhelmed to sign up for another service.

Recently binge watched the flacon and winter soldier series and picked up in the background subliminal poster messages with very similar build back better propaganda in about 3 of the 6 episodes. It?s disgusting what liberals are doing to this country. In the end it all only benefits the chicoms on the March to global enslavement.

I?m Buck Fiden and I forgot this Message

The newer discovery Star Trek series has been woke?d they should be ok, the older original series though idk they?ll have to ban that one if they haven?t already. It?s full of white privilege, systemic racism and sexism

Clearly we know who the smartest man in the room is here and it ain't Dr. Daystrom. Plus an interesting foreshadowing of AI and its dangers. And it's most ironic how Dr. Daystrom, obliquely insults Captain Kirk about his perceived concern over loss of "prestige," when Daystrom himself so clearly craves it. Otherwise, Daystrom's "ultimate" outcome would be computers designing other computers.

Trump is a criminal just like Mitch McConnell. Trump would fit right in with the lying GOP.
