Election Aftermath

off topic...but I loved that show. I think it was one of your posts that got me to watch it. I might have to binge it again this winter.

Yes, we?ve posted about that.

For years I didn?t watch it because the title made me think it was a sentimental girly show.

There?s maybe one to not even 5% of that.

Overwhelmingly, it?s about drinking and gratuitous casual random sex, occasionally smoking pot and every now and again the commission of a hilarious felony.

And of course?there?s Robin.

Some new Jan 6th stuff.

https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...-organizers-met-congress-white-house-1245289/
Along with Greene, the conspiratorial pro-Trump Republican from Georgia who took office earlier this year, the pair both say the members who participated in these conversations or had top staffers join in included Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.), Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.), Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.), and Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas).

Both sources say he dangled the possibility of a ?blanket pardon? in an unrelated ongoing investigation to encourage them to plan the protests.

?Our impression was that it was a done deal,? the organizer says, ?that he?d spoken to the president about it in the Oval ? in a meeting about pardons and that our names came up. They were working on submitting the paperwork and getting members of the House Freedom Caucus to sign on as a show of support.?

Anyone care to place a little wager? I want to be the first on DSF to call bullshit on this Rolling Stone article. My money says it ages about as well as their UVA rape case article, the Steele Dossier, Jason Blair?s Iraq War reporting and anything written by Stephen Glass. Who wants the other side?

I could be convinced to double down that the ?source? is Adam Schiff and/or member(s) of his staff.

A possible third wager - Rolling Stone wins a Pulitzer before its all revealed to be unsubstantiated garbage.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were people in congress that helped organize a rally. I would be surprised if they told them to breach the Whitehouse.

AG Garland refused to answer when they asked him at the hearing whether there were FBI agents among the rioters.

I'm going to remain on the side of the fence that everything associated with Jan. 6 we hear from official sources is bullshit.

I believe you mean breach the Capitol building. I agree, I'd be surprised if they did that or that they promised immunity or pardons or whatever Rolling Stone is claiming.

So if you're right, what's the charge Schiff will recommend to the DOJ? Aiding and abetting private citizens in the exercise of their first amendment rights?

yes...I meant Capitol building.

If I am right...the congressmen or women did nothing wrong. The protestors just went too far

Don?t tell me, let me guess, they were the same ones were trying to kidnap Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer, right?

Who breached the doors who let them in? we still don't know. And we never will.

Agreed and the bit about charging them with "aiding and abetting the exercise of their first amendment rights" was sarcasm.

Still, I don't think that would stop Schiff from recommending charges - the guy is obsessed with convicting Trump for something.

Just 4 days later and nobody has piled on the Rolling Stone story or if they did, they've already dropped it. Saw a few tweets from dems in congress expressing their outrage (the usual suspects) but nothing since then.

I wonder if they'll ever admit this story was an Adam Schiff plant.

A new documentary series produced by Fox News host Tucker Carlson aims to set the story straight on the events of January 6, and the subsequent hammer that fell on patriots who were set up that day.

The trailer for the mini-documentary ?Patriot Purge? was shared by Tucker via Twitter Wednesday evening, and is part of Fox Nation?s ?Tucker Carlson Originals? series

Pure garbage.

Those assholes were not "patriots", and they weren't set-up. Only idiots buy in to that kind of bullshit.

That will really stem the flow of illegal immigrants, particularly those trafficking minors..."break our laws, put young children at risk and our government will pay you half a million dollars." That will definitely discourage mass migration.

Who wouldn't want their taxes raised when they know what the money is going toward?

wholeheartedly believe the current administration is intentionally seeking to completely destroy the country in order to "Build Back Better" It won't be better though it'll be a new system under a chicom based social credit score style authoritarian rule. It's not just the administration though it's been in the works for decades trump interrupted it for 4 years and they are making up for lost time now.

Oliver Darcy says he sees no difference between Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones. The future is a dystopian nightmare all voices of dissent will be silenced and we agree to disagree. go back to putting your head in the sand.
