Fister back to DL, Crosby called up.

Rookie Tigers Lefty Casey Crosby, can strike batters out but also has lingering control problems, pitching in yankee stadium friday night.....kid might need to wear a depends,
We just hope he can pitch effectively and block out everything else of the surroundings.

we are at home Friday night not in NY.

I just knew when it first happened that it could be one of those injuries that linger. Just hope it's not a season long thing and doesn't lead to more serious over-compensating injuries. Yeah but between bad umpiring calls, untimely injuries, and slumping hitters...the shit storm continues.

waiting for 5:30 p.m. update from Tigers trainer Kevin Rand about Fister -
"MRI showed something," said Leyland.

Fister MRI "showed something", said Tigers Leyland.. "Showed what the other one showed (left side) but was termed differently."

MRI on Fister's side 'showed something'.

the update from Kevin Rand at 5:30 p.m. indicates that Fister will be out for a while, Tigers could be in market for Starting Pitcher before a 2B.

Could be out for "a while." Wow that's all at once vague and ominous and more of the same unlucky bullshit.

Pack it in, folks. It ain't happening this year. Can't wait for football...

Fister's MRI showed no new problem beyond recurrence of previous injury. No projected date for his return yet. freep

Fister - "should not miss a month" like last time - trainer Kevin Rand.

Tigers trainer Kevin Rand said Doug Fister should be back sooner this time than in first occurrence of side strain.

No new injury for Doug Fister, just same costochondral strain. Trainer Kevin Rand said he's "not anticipating" another month-long absence.

I don't believe this one bit. 2 trips to the DL for the same problem in the first 2 months of the season. He will probably be effective again toward the end of the season when he is finally healthy, but it might be too late.

And the kid gets the Yankees lineup for his first MLB start. Oh joy.

So you're intentionally tanking in that league too? Man, what a jerk.

Nah, not really, you jackass. Where am i intentionally tanking by the way? The FREE Yahoo league where i autopicked my team? Go fuck yourself, gomer.

People get way too excited about free fantasy baseball. I check once a week and make very few transactions. I don't want to do more than that.
