Fox News Audience

So...if what this guy in the video says is right, we can quit crying about Fox News then, right? Might as well complain about the Inquirer. ...and if it's all true, at what point is their bigger role actually pro-Democrat. If they're only preaching to the choir on the right, they're not making a difference there, but they sure do serve as a rallying point for Dems.

Here's where we discover that Rupert Murdoch is the world most effective liberal. Everyone's been played.

I thought the full recount of Florida conducted after everything was said and done showed that Bush actually did win.

Shhhhh, we can't have Liberals accept the truth....

Not that either candidate was worth a damn. Gore is just as brain dead as Bush, which is part of the reason that election was so close. I voted for Gore in Florida, but that isn't to say I felt he was a great candidate. In that election America was destined to be the true loser of the election regardless of who was declared the winner.

And it's this way over and over again...One side wins and forces everything through as best they can... They other side finally wins and try's and works with the dark forces of American politics but are stymied at every turn by old religious tan fucks who could care less about every day Americans...I will never vote republican again and hopefully Americans at large will keep that group out of the White House yet again..

They'll be able to gerymander themselves a house majority year in and year out. The presidency is a different story. The primary riles up the freak show and alienates the independents, then they do the opposite in the general election

I realize your hatred knows no bounds, but I really can't for the life of me figure out who you are referring to in the bolded above?

His skin is the color of fine corinthian leather.

Bob was just riffing though; not really fair to nitpick his post over semantics... but then again, who am I talking to?

Oh - he really meant the color of "tan"?

BTW - I wasn't nitpicking semantics, kemosabe, I was just not sure if there was a misspelling or not, or if he really meant folks of a specific color.

. . . and "riffing" or not - true hatred of any group of people that large is prejudice that I do not accept and I really consider it nothing more than an ignorant rant.

Oh wait . . . but who am I talking to - the king of stereotypes. Carry on champ.

yes, sorry to disappoint you.

No you're not.

I figure the "old religious" part hits many of us when we reach our natural retirement age. At that point many Christian right folks are just trying to get into heaven (as if that was even possible).

I can see how that wouldn't affect you, though, so does that mean we would just refer to you as an "old atheist liberal fuck" in your waning years?

Just trying to get into heaven... by being old, bigoted, and curmudgeonly? Have these people ever actually even opened a Bible?

I don't know how you refer to old atheist liberals... they're basically just "normal educated people with gray hair." I volunteered with the Chicago ACLU a couple times, and met some older liberals. They were pretty cool, and amazingly well-informed (as far as old people go. and no, that doesn't mean they just watched MSNBC.) Since all the old people I knew growing up were bigoted, curmudgeonly, and often barely-educated Conservative catholics from my own family in MetroDetroit, I was surprised old people who weren't whiny bigots existed. But they do.

Well then "old religious" is pretty much a misnomer then, right? I would guess religious would at least imply in their own mind.

Oh phooey, there we go on semantics again.

BTW - I would already count you among the whiny and curmudgeonly, so "old religious tan fucks", might not all be bigoted whiny curmudgeons - probably not even most of them. Your sample size is too small.

The old people I was exposed to were mostly intelligent, kindly, and religious, without all your negative crap attached, but you don't see me offering that up as proof of your inaccuracy. Well maybe until now. :*)

...

Well, I'm guessing the ones sitting at home with Bill O'Reilly on TV aren't particularly concerned with getting into heaven. Otherwise they'd be out selflessly volunteering to help the poor in the soup kitchens, tutor low-income children, give their time, if not extra money as well to help assist the less fortunate... you know, stuff it says to do in the Bible.

I don't normally see old people doing stuff like this, but maybe that's just where I live.

Or maybe some of these old people are confused; hey, that's understandable, as Bill O'Reilly did just compare himself to Jesus, and he IS very christ-like.

Maybe they think watching Fox News religiously will come in handy at the pearly gates that don't really exist?

So in your eyes that's the only reason you can get into heaven?
