Game 10 Tigers vs. indians April 10, 2018

I understand where you guys are coming from with the schedule. But in defense of the southern based teams, They don't want a majority of the home games in April. Attendance is lower in April and May than June, July and August. The revenue for those teams would be lower. No way a southern owner wants to take less money for the betterment of the league.

What? They play at home any way.. Are you saying the teams in the Midwest have better attendance now? It's stupid..

I think he is saying that all early season games have worse attendance. Those warm weather & domed teams don't want more early games scheduled in their cities just because they have better weather.

Matthew Boyd is first Tiger to pitch 6+ innings of 1-run ball or better in his first two starts of a season and not get a win in either since Justin Verlander in 2007.

Just like cold weather teams have worse attendance.

So why trade near sellouts for games with less than 50% attendance??? The southern teams would rather have the near sell out. The southern/west coast teams would lose revenue if more of their home games were in April/May.

My point was why would the cold weather teams trade their near sellouts for less than 50% attendance. You don't think people in the Midwest would rather go to games in June over April?

" The southern/west coast teams would lose revenue if more of their home games were in April/May." Just like the Midwest teams do now?

Do you think southern and west coast teams should host more games in April than teams in the north and northeast? That would be unfair to them...wouldn't it?

But right now it's unfair to the Midwest and East, right? Somehow I must not be explaining myself or something.

Apparently its okay for some teams to lose attendance, like the Midwest teams but not others, West?

how is it unfair? Because they don't get to play in warm weather?

But the Midwest teams are losing attendance because people don't want to go to a game when it's 35. Detroit would rather have more in in June and July. 30k vs 18k. For ie.

here is what you don't understand. ALL teams have lower attendance in April and May. Why should warm weather or domed teams have a disproportionate number of games in these months? It's not their problem that Detroit is in the north where it is cold in April. The AL Central teams have to play each other 19 times each. They have to have many of these games in April and May. There is no way around that.

Who said disproportionate. I'm not saying have all games in the west. Start off with Detroit in Texas and then LAA in Detroit for example. Switch it round the following year. We've had past years where we didn't play a central team until May. Its not going to be perfect for all 30 Teams. But there's more than that.. Just think of those fans on opening day, game called off and can't make it for Friday. Does MLB always have to be about the money?
