Game 13: Bucs @ Lions Thread

Seattle is going to win that division.

Drew Stanton, probably. But they still have a defense..next week the Rams, playing well and then Seattle, comes down to that game. At least it's at their place..

Dallas and Philly, Arizona and Seattle. Detroit definitely has to win the next two..

Lions dominate again. Offense exploding. Bring on vikings

Overall pretty good game. Made some mistakes that would cost them the game against a better team.

Of course those mistakes would cost them vs. a good team. On the bright side...last year they lost to the shitty TB team...at least this year they beat them!

Very true. But if\when we make the playoffs can't give away Points like we did

You are right...offense is exploding vs. shitty teams. That is very likely to end if they make the playoffs.

How trollish of you.

Btw...that Buccaneers defense has been playing well the last few games. We dominated them today.

After tomorrow the NFC south will likely be

5-8
5-8
4-8-1

One of those teams will get a home playoff game while somebody else whom will finish 10-6 will stay home, hopefully that won't be us need to get it done next week to, viks looking better than the first time played.

Only the Lions

Lions did what you do against really bad teams, you beat them easily at home. The only two concerns were how Slay was routinely beaten and embarrassed. One of the worst games for a Lions CB in awhile. I wasn't impressed with Bell either. He seemed very tentative and indecisive in his decision making. He just needs to run hard, to me he wasn't. Had that big run that makes his stats look respectable, but still an area for concern.

Rest of the offense and defense looked good to me.

LKP said that the Lions offense was going to explode vs. the shitty teams that they were upcoming on the schedule. I was just saying he was right. Nothing I said in that post was trolling.

Evans and Jackson are monsters though. Slay won't be great every week.

I thought Bell was solid. He's always been a bit of a dancer for a bigger back, but he's always falling forward. Bush looked like he lost a step or two. Can't wait for him to be gone.

Which one of them caught that TD against their neck? What a circus catch.

I'm not asking him to be great every week, but you can have a down week without looking like a rookie making your first start. Jackson owned him on his way to his best game of the season.

Bell was averaging close to 1.5 YPC before the big run. To me bell isn't a RB you like to have a bunch of 0-2 yard runs in anticipation of him breaking a 50+ run. He is better suited to routinely get the 3-5 yards and occasionally break a 20+ yarder. His best games to me is when he isn't trying to dance, just running hard and straight.

I'm not quite as down on Bush as everyone here seems to be. I still think he can add a bit of value to this team the remainder of this year and next. I expect him to be gone in 2016. Not sure Riddick is completely ready to become part of a 1-2 RB rotation.

I thought the Lions played a horrible game, just not as bad as the Bucks. Stupid penalties kept the Bucks in the game. Lions are not going to win anything playing like that. It seems that the undisciplined play is creeping back in again.

Slay was over matched physically but he worked hard. He needs to play the ball more as opposed to the man. Can't complain really, he has shown tremendous improvement this year and I trust scheme has helped.

That was the second highest QB rating (133.3) of Stafford's career. The previous high was 12/24/11 vs San Diego. That day he was 29-36 80.6% 373y and 3 TD (137.6).

I agree, but, that was pathetic. 1 on 1 time with CJ should be a focus this week for Slay. To practice against the best and biggest in the game week in and week out, then get bitched like that come game time is unacceptable.

Makes you wonder. Last year Slay got beat a lot on double moves. Maybe with the tape they thought Evans was going to use that a lot, which is why Slay had trouble getting his head around, because he was anticipating a double move. idk, he had a bad game against the top rookie WR right now. He has been solid against other vets, and expect a bounce back game against Minny.

I seen it as part physical, and part experience. Last year he was getting eaten up by complex scheme and speed of next level. He is going to get better if he checks his ego at the door and plays within what's presented in front of him. He is a fine athlete.
