Game 14: Lions @ Bills Thread

People forget some times 12 men on the field even 10 but 9. Should have been fired on the spot. And that GB Hail Mary covering the sidelines, even after the wide receivers were downfield - come on man. Lol.

Not having Calvin Johnson back in the end zone??

6'5" 245 LB guy who was amazing at high pointing the ball IN FRONT of the defender. Nah.....keep him on the sideline. Let our midget CB's sit back behind the WR's and cover the sidelines at all cost.

FUCK.....now I'm pissed off all over again.

Just to lighten our day..

"We anticipated a lateral play, not Hail Mary." Jim fucking Caldwell.

To be honest I expected a small step back this year. New coach implementing a new system.....it takes time. I didn't expect to take a giant leap backward.

Patricia will get better, IMO. He's got a good grasp on the defensive side of the ball.....but I think he realizes he needs to be more aggressive on the offensive side.....and Cooter's scheme just isn't it.

Cooter's gone. He has 8 quarters left as a Lion. Which means we have 3 more touchdowns to score!!

Your unwavering optimism is a beacon of hope.

Having to be reminded of those shit plays made me want to break something!!
Faahhhkkkk!!!!

It's funny. As an early Patricia supporter who'd been wavering a lot lately, these reminders made me feel better about the current coaching situation than I was before. Despite the rage inducing memories.

Perfect shot. 4 fucking Packers IN FRONT of ANY defender.

How the fuck does that happen?!?

It could not have been any more poorly played than that.

Horrible memories....wow....

I'm so glad I wasn't at this game btw. I might have killed somebody lol

Lions vs Bears. 2000. We got stuck in traffic, got into the Silverdome just to see David Sloan catch a TD pass to go 10-0. Assumed victory, onto the playoffs.

Stayed all the way till the end to see Edinger bury a 54 yarder.

Do not think I will ever see anything worse in person.

Matthew Stafford was one of the best statistical QBs of Week 15.
It was a surprisingly efficient day for Stafford against a good Bills defense.
The high-flying offenses that seemed to define the first half of the 2018 NFL season seem to have taken a week off. Drew Brees threw for just 5.8 yards per attempt and zero touchdowns, Jared Goff went touchdown-less for the second straight week and even Patrick Mahomes had a fairly pedestrian game with 253 yards and two touchdowns.

As a result, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had one of the better games of the week, according to a few advanced statistics.

Though Stafford only threw for 208 yards and a touchdown, ESPN?s QBR had Stafford as the second-best quarterback of Week 15, with an 81.5 score.

Obviously, you cannot talk about Stafford?s day without mentioning Kenny Golladay?s impressive day. Golladay saved Stafford from one interception, and made a couple of incredible grabs.

?The duo hooked up seven times on eight attempts for 146 yards and five first downs overall,? ESPN?s Hank Gargiulo wrote. ?Five of Stafford?s largest six plays in terms of expected points added came when Golladay was the target.?

But if you?re like me, you?re a QBR skeptic. It?s unclear what exactly goes into the QBR formula, and it doesn?t always spit out results that make sense.

However, I do like (and enjoy) Football Outsiders? DYAR metric, and by those standards, Stafford was the fifth-best quarterback of the week. It?s worth noting, however, that Stafford?s Week 15 PFF grade was not good enough to place in the top five of the Lions? offensive players.

If we kept posting devastating plays against us. We'd be here all day.
