Tigers 9th
Keith 4-3
Spencer single
Mckinstry doubles
Bad coaching gets Spencer out at 3rd. Point at the bag dummy. Or hold your hands up. That isn’t Spencer’s fault. He can’t look back at the ball rounding a base.
Jung K’s on 3 pitches.

Remember Detroit must finish one game over either kc or minnie as both of the hold a tie breaker.

Keider Montero: 2-0, 14 IP, 0 R, 6 K
Michael Busch: .478 AVG, 1.567 OPS, 4 HR, 11 RBI
Your AL and NL Players of the Week.

Tigers ERA with a devastated rotation is 2.57 in the last 33 games and the team is toward the top of the league in RISP. I think we all need to chill on AJ and realize the dude is a fucking beast.
If he gets credit for their recent success, he has to take the blame for the months that they sucked ass.

According to Fangraphs the percentage of chance for the Tigers to make the playoffs nearly doubled tonight following their win over the Royals and Twins loss to Guardians. Went from 9.8 percent to 18.1.

You're blaming him for Greene and Carpenter out with injuries, and Tork sucking, and 4/5's of the rotation out with injuries?

The Tigers are winning in September with some clutch performances:-
Colt Keith .319/.360/.340 in the month of September.
Montero: 14 IP scoreless innings, .227 batting average against.
Greene: batting .327 in the month of September.

You're blaming him for Greene and Carpenter out with injuries, and Tork sucking, and 4/5's of the rotation out with injuries?
no, I'm saying if you give him credit (which I am not) you have to give him blame as well. I'm not giving him either the credit or the blame. Just like when people give Fetter credit for the pitchers that have success but don't blame him for the pitchers that are shitty.

A.J. Hinch joined MLB Network today, talking about how the Tigers are staying focused in the playoff chase, Tarik Skubal's Cy Young-caliber season, and the team's youthful energy.

Tigers on August 23: 9.5 GB from third AL WC spot
Tigers on September 16: 2.5 GB

Riley Greene is slashing .327/.393/.653 with two doubles, one triple, four homers and 13 RBI in 13 games in September. Among AL hitters this month, he ranks t-3rd in RBI, t-4th in homers, t-6th in total bases (32), 7th in OPS (1.046), 8th in SLG% and t-9th in extra-base hits (7).

Days of Roar Tigers Podcast. Can Detroit Tigers catch Minnesota Twins in AL wild-card race? 60 minutes.

On this episode: The Detroit Tigers won four of six games on their latest homestand against the Colorado Rockies and Baltimore Orioles, giving them 22 wins in their last 32 games. The Tigers trail the Minnesota Twins by 1.5 games — which is 2.5 games considering the tiebreaker — in the race for the third and final spot in the American League wild card, with 11 games remaining. Can the Tigers actually catch the Twins? The Twins have lost 18 of their last 27 games.

None of us in our wildest dreams would have thought at the beginning of the year if Detroit was running Skubal, 30 percent of Mize, Keider Montero, a few starts from Reese Olson and multiple multiple reliever games headed by the likes of Brant Hurter and Ty Madden would we then also have the best record in the AL in the last 40 percent of the season.

AJ absolutely deserves credit.
