Game 16: Packers @ Lions *Sunday Night* Thread

Seems like Giants are not even trying to score now.. I sure wish they had kicked the fg when they could have now.

Wtf! NBC (my local channel) and directv failed to renew their deal and as of today is blacked out. I am so pissed!

We still need to win and get a home playoff game. But if the Giants can hang on here the Packers Lions game might be a lot of fun...both teams can take chances with nothing to really lose....in terms of making the playoffs. Win the division!

Yep, fun knowing we'll in. Less strokeville so to speak.

Packers are 1-12 their last 13 games on the road against a team that ended the season with a winning record.
0-3 overall this season (all games started by Aaron Rodgers). Lions fall into this category of opponents win or lose today.

Now bring up the record of Detroit vs teams that end up with winning records.. It might be a 3-3 tie.

Surprised Manning is still out there. Beckham is done, Jenkins is done, but you leave your starting qb in?

Your chances of being struck by lightning are 1 in 1.1 million.
Your chances of becoming a movie star are 1 in 1.5 million,
and your chances of dying from an asteroid are 1 in 74.8 million.

You had a 1 in 292.2 million chance of winning the largest Powerball in history back in January.

None of which even compares to what the Detroit Lions have done in 2016.

They trailed in the fourth quarter of all but one of their games, yet roared back to win eight of them, a modern NFL record.
Their odds of doing that, based on win probabilities from ProFootballReference: 1 in 34.6 billion.

To paraphrase the great Jim Caldwell from last week:

"We have ways to control how much pressure (the QB) gets. I don't have worries of (the QB) getting hurt back there."
