Game 2: Lions @ Cardinals Thread

You missed the point. None of those games matter. You really think because some lions team lost in the 70s means this 2013 team will lose next week. Lions matchup well with the skins especially with rg3 sucking.

Lions can win on Sunday

Some? You mean all?

Yes I see it still hasn't sunk in yet for you, I understand

I know they can to, that's the point, they won't because its the lions, they'll find away to ###%# it up or something will change to make it a loss like maybe rg3 ends up benched and that former state guy burns us up, it's always something, I don't know what yet, but something, next week will be no different

Your assessment of Stafford and the defense is the only thing that is putrid. There were plenty of positives bring on Washington to shut the haters up.

Stafford did nothing to win us the game, and I agree that's not all on him the coaches and wideouts outside CJ suck. The DBS were useless. The LBs were useless. Any good plays by the d lone were negated by their own dumb penalties and we still can't get consistent pressure or get a fourth quarter stop.

This game was dropped away but Bell and Grew on offense and some bad miscues by DB's. That illegal hands to the face on Young flipped this game on its head. Turn over there and it would have been almost out of reach for zona.

Yeah, that was huge. But the Lions make huge mistakes - they made them last week as well but fortunately for us, the Vikings defense blows..

The Packers destroyed the Skins today and limited RG3 until the game was way out of reach. Very winnable game for the Lions. Especially with Fairley back.

Miscues by the dbs is an understatement. None of them get their heads turned around. They play the receiver, never the ball

Ansah would be having an all pro year by now if it wasn't for our dline being fucking retarded lol. Everytime he does something good theres some penalty on the play lol.

Just the one yesterday. 1st one he jumped offside himself

Oh yeah, that sack fumble against Minn.

He played 2nd most snaps from the DLine yesterday. Good sign. For whatever reason we brought little pressure from the LB's yesterday. Once Fitz went down I thought we should have blitzed a lot more.

I like the Ansah pick more every game. Would honestly like to see the Lions move him around on the line more, especially in games where we are missing one of our starting dts. Just like to see more creativity with this kid, he can play anywhere on that line, and I think Fairley would wreak havoc coming off of the edge on occassion.

You'd think that by only rushing 4 most of the time that the pass D wouldn't be so bad wouldn't ya? yeah me to.. but.. they are. no pressure on the QB rushing 4 all the time, Gunther hardly ever calls for a blitz, when he does they pick it up and or there was a flag on the play.. good QB's just stand back there and pick up apart 9 times out of 10.

Considering his main move is burst up field and blast the guy in front of him it would make sense to stick him on their worst guard. That's too out of the box for this crew.

Someon called it after the Pats game. If the D line doesn't generate consistent pressure the D isn't going to make the stops we need and we'll lose.

I just dont get what the point is of signing multi-dimensional dlinemen is if our coaching staff is afraid to mix it up a little bit. Arent jones and adonije known for playing both dt and de?

Gunther is to stale, completely agree they need to be mixing it up much more often, what's maddening is I believe I've heard them even admit this and indicate that they should and will in the past, and then they don't.

Need a coach who's not afraid to fucking blitz.

Absolutely ridiculous we didn't pressure Palmer more. The AZ O-line is abhorrent. This should have been a colossal mismatch. Instead another typical 21st century Lions loss. They just find a way to eff up...

I say that's on Schwartie. He didn't blitz when he was with Tennessee.
