Game 4: Chiefs @ Lions Thread

0-1-1 against in games we have out played the other side and gave the game away somehow.

Really only bad call was a Roughing the passer that benefited KC.

But overall it was lions having two unforced turnovers in the red zone that were the biggest play/mistakes.

Thanks brewer. That sucks with the redzone turnovers, another coulda shoulda won game,

100%

Staffords completely unforced on a day he played so well.

Johnson?s also unforced.

Both plays could have easily been avoided. I get that guys try to make plays.....but sometimes the best play is surviving to get to the next play.

Damn....outplayed KC a good amount of this game and still lost

Fuck the refs, too. I saw two easy holdings on our DL on the final drive.....neither was called.

Those holdings were easy to call. Lions players would be flagged I am positive of that.

Our dumb QB didnt even get the ball into the end zone....
Jones got tackled short of the endzone. Should have been called. Stafford played well today but in a game everyone said we were gonna get blown out in we had a chance to win. We didn't get a fair shake with the refs and we made two dumb mistakes and still should have won. So it is what it is.

Sucks the Lions lost late in the 4th quarter,

Did the refs help the chiefs with a shitty penalty on Lions? or non call on chiefs?

I had gamecast.

I saw at least one hold that was not called, but mostly it was the prevent defense preventing us from stopping them... Mahomes is too good to rush 3 and drop 8.

Frustrating there will be no national media outside the state of Michigan that will say that At all sadly. The NFL always fucks the Lions. Same old same old. So freaking tired of the Lions choking and or the NFL fucking us. Because both happened today.

On the positive side the defense caused several fumbles and played pretty well despite being down two of our best DB's. In the end, though, after some thought... it was almost but not quite for the Lions today, which sums up the franchise over the last 50 years pretty well

The two wins and a tie did not give me any confidence in this team.

The loss did. I thought we would be blown out, something like 52-14 win 7 of those coming in garbage time.

Instead, we had a chance to win on the final play of the game.

The Chiefs are in that upper echelon of teams right now, with the Rams and Pats, and we just hung tough with them and led most of the game, while missing key pieces like Slay, losing Hockinson for almost half the game, and a QB not at 100%.

I feel something right now. It's not diarrhea... that's not a sour stomach... what the hell is that?

Is that.... hope? Is this what hope feels like?

Why am I asking you guys, you're Lions fans, you dont know either.

Good post. What they HAVE to take from this is the type of intensity it takes to beat teams on a week in, week out basis. We play with this type of passion the rest of the way and we win 11 games this year.

The early bye week comes at an absolute perfect time. Stafford can heal. Slay and Hand can heal. Hockenson can get better, hopefully.

A lot to learn from this loss. Mostly we can play with anyone.

Tampa Bay is up 21-0 at Rams. Now 21-7.: there will be no easy wins for the Lions. Team should be 4-0.

I’ll tell ya what though I was proud of the lions today for the way they kept fighting and #27 was fantastic it would have been one of the greatest lion wins of all time if they pulled that out and could have been some great video montages with the Detroit fist and all, those punch outs from the D

The NFL and their ticky tacky bullshit reply some guy in a booth gets to decide outcomes of games denied us all that joy today although I’m so used to this kinda crap it still doesn’t make it right I’m giving this one to LKP! This was a true win! The lions beat the chiefs they couldn’t overcome the NFLs desire to keep them the same ol lions

I'll say this... I dont see a dominating team in the NFC this year, not even the Rams. So, someone has to be the NFC team in the SuperBowl.... why not us?

Where I do have a problem is the egregious hold on the final touchdown of the game that didn?t get called, the face mask on Kerryon Johnson that didn?t get called and the defensive pass interference on the Hail Mary at the end of the game. Jones was full-on tackled when the ball was in range. The Lions should have had an untimed play on the 1-yard line. But it is what it is.
Oh yeah there was also this. missed it during the game, but Anthony Hitchens, who wasn't called today for this, was the same guy originally called for PI on Pettigrew in the 2014 playoff game - until the flag was inexplicably picked up.

Gotta get in the playoffs first. I agree with you. If we stay healthy we can definitely play with good teams....but we also play in a very tough division. Our offense was good today partially because KC?s defense is shit. Can we move the ball against Chicago and Minnesota? Can we stop GB, Dal?

If we get in we have a shot.

8. 8 major ref errors in chiefs favor. Bullshit fumble return..blow the whistle forward progress stopped..then another chiefs recovered it really but somehow breeland picks it up

Missed dpi often, missed face masks, golladay had enough control on that td called back

Nfl wants so bad for the chiefs to win

Lions need to get angry on the bye then come out and hit rodgers in the mouth
