Get StartedManagers aren't always smart because they get it right now and then. Kelly over Carp still made no sense. I'm glad it all worked out but Hinch is still an idiot.Funny how some of us think we know more than Hinch. All about matchups with Kelly home run and the rest of the team hitting. Vierling sucks until he hits the walkoff.
I actually saw an inning with Holton walking a batter and a hit and then Foley came in. I turned it after the runs scored to make it 9 - 8.
They need this win going to play the pirates and if the rookie pitcher starts and after they go to the shithole in Boston for the next series.

Bud, he knows more about matchups than any of us do.Managers aren't always smart because they get it right now and then. Kelly over Carp still made no sense. I'm glad it all worked out but Hinch is still an idiot.
Based on the shitty hitting and bad PH matchups this season I doubt it. Can't be wrong all the time.Bud, he knows more about matchups than any of us do.
Hinch knows a lot more than you. What's comical is how you curse a player and then are happy when he comes through. He kept them in there and they produced. He must have had a feeling about them. righty lefty be damned. Hinch has been managing for years. You have been here screaming about players for the same amount of time. I will take Hinch as manager over you or anyone else in this game thread.Vierling and Kelly were in the lineup because of a lefty starter. They did all their damage vs the right handed relievers. Trying to credit that to AJ is comical
So you've never complained about a manager, GM or owner? Or questioned them? You must not have because they know more than us. Right.Hinch knows a lot more than you. Careful, this is his forumSo you've never complained about a manager, GM or owner? Or questioned them? You must not have because they know more than us. Right.
I was talking about runs lol. There was a walk.
I don't remember getting pissed at Hinch, compared to the last few managers including Leyland. So you've never complained about a manager, GM or owner? Or questioned them? You must not have because they know more than us. Right.
Thanks. I guess I do bring a lot to the Tigers forum.Careful, this is his forum
That's the point. It should be okay to question them without "well they know more than us." AJ hasn't been over .500 since he's been here and has made mistakes. I should be able to mention that..I don't remember getting pissed at Hinch, compared to the last few managers including Leyland.
When it comes to the owner the Ilitch's and the GM's ,we all have doubts, and about this guy and of course Avila.
Even DD could never find relievers for the bullpen.
I really don't see Hinch making nearly anywhere near the foolish moves that gardenhire, ausmus, or leyland made as managers, and they had some good, excellent, and great players compared to this bunch of players. But they really do know more about the matchups and how a player feels and other tangible or intangible things we don't have knowledge of. It is what they do with the information. That's the point. So they know more it doesn't mean they're right every time. Did Matt Millen know more than us? Did Ralph Houk? Think about that..I really don't see Hinch making nearly anywhere near the foolish moves that gardenhire, ausmus, or leyland made as managers, and they had some good, excellent, and great players compared to this bunch of players.
