Game 6: Lions @ Vikings Thread

Same.

Still waiting a test for this defense. Bridgewater McKinnon ford Jennings Patterson was like facing a jv team. Even when the dline wasnt getting there they were dropping passes or making awful throws or tipping balls to tahir lol.

Green Bay wasn't a test?? lol ..ok.

weve debated that at nauseum after the gb game. we didn't have that great of pressure in the gb game and Rodgers missed throw after throw after throw after throw after wide open WR in the end zone....even when he wasn't pressured. Call it whatever you want....I call it bad day for Rodgers....you call it awesome defense by the lions. meh...

He was flushed out of the pocket constantly. Decoy blitzes and different looks had Rodgers confused. Whatever, on to the Saints.

a lot of fans saw that game very different...not just you and me. we definitely had him rattled....but its still no excuse for some of the passes I saw from him...he never plays like that....there was about 5 or 6 absolute dirt balls thrown with no pressure on him....was weird. regardless the defense is playing their assess off....love their aggressiveness and to date their aggressiveness hasn't led to big plays....which I still don't quite understand lol. If we keep this up...where the opposing qb looks completely lost and is getting hit on every play....vs the likes of tom brady and drew brees....I will be completely shocked.

Im already completely amazed that thru 6 weeks weve completely relied on the defense to keep us in games. Stafford has got to get this shit going....just too much talent at every skill position to look this bad. Although I will give a small pat on my back....I did call that the oline would struggle this year because I knew Stafford would have to hold onto the ball longer this year to make decisions. Anyone who thought getting the ball out in 2 seconds like he did on basically every play last year was normal...was wrong.....and completely masked the deficiencies we had on the oline. its showing now...

Rodgers has not had a stellar game against the Lions in a few years. I am honestly starting to think the game he was concussed against Detroit is stuck in his head.

OLine play has been atrocious. I agree Staff needs to be better, but he's getting no time on most of those sacks.

This shit needs to be dealt with swiftly

Turn him loose imo. He will be a stud wherever he plays. It'd be pretty funny if he went to a rival, and shit on the Lions every time he played them. There is no reason this kid should not be starting here with Calvin out.

Negatives...OLine is terrible, Ebron is a mirage, nobody offensively stepped up, Stafford looked scared.

Positive....Defense, defense, defense, Riddick looked good before he was hurt, DLine was off the charts, Whitehead is a good LB, road win.

Basically what I got off of today's game.

Pretty much the same stuff I saw, but I'm really starting to lose hope in Stafford ever becoming good. He's completely useless without Calvin. What did he have, like 175yds? He always seems to gets happy feet and slings stupid uncatchable passes like crazy, but it's all the more obvious when CJ isn't there to bail his ass out by playing jump ball.

The defense has bailed this team out all year and kept them ahead or in games when the offense is DOA. The D-line and LBs have been killing it, and the secondary is finally holding up as hoped.

Speaking of Rodgers, the last drive that GB had yesterday against the Dolphins was absurd. The Miami D completely folded and Rodgers took advantage of it to drive GB to the win. They should have lost that game, and probably would lose in 9 out of 10 times if they were to replay the final few minutes over.

Dont know if it has already been discussed but so pissed to see Riola cost warford a touchdown yesterday.

I am getting antsy to see Raiola replaced. Last year when Sims was playing well and the O-line was gelling, he looked serviceable. This year with Sims seemingly degrading and the turnstiles at RT, it's put more pressure on Raiola and he's completely folded. Watching him get pancaked yesterday when the rest of the line was actually holding strong was embarassing. I wasn't a fan of the Swanson pick this year, but anybody has to be better than Raiola. He's never been able to run-block, but at this point I don't trust him to block anybody one-on-one.

I know the knock of Swanson was his strength. So unless he has improved that with an NFL training staff not sure if he would be any better than Riola at this point

If Swanson actually picks up his assigned block, I'm pretty sure even his lack of strength would hold up a pass rusher longer than Crayola doing his best "El Matador" impersonation.

Yep, I'm ready for the Swanson era to begin as well. It's not like we're paying Raiola too much to not have him on the field either. Let Raiola play the mentor role the rest of the season while riding the bench. Raiola knew it was coming anyway

But I thought the Swanson pick was a joke?? Raiola was fucking awesome last year...remember?! Even though he's been a pile of heaping dogshit every year except one..lol.

Swanson pick is looking better and better by the game.

Tony, Swanson has not played yet, how do you know the pick is getting better? Just because the guy in front of him sucks?
