Game 7: Bengals @ Lions Thread

Special teams cost us that one. 27 yard punt. Unbelievable. The blocked FG was a game changer.

Too much pressure on the last drive. Would have been better to take a sack on that 3rd down.

The lack of pressure by the dline was the game changer.

This game was a good measuring stick.....and just like it's been for forever, they're not ready to turn the corner. These shitheads could have EASILY been 6-1 if they weren't getting in their own way.

Agreed, they wont turn the corner either. The organization doesnt know how. No need for hope anymore, this team cant put it together. Either the offense sputters or the whole defense pisses the game away. Result is always the same.

I really wanted to watch the Colts vs Broncos tonight. After a Lions loss though its not the same.

Such a tough loss. Special teams screwed us. And the refs. No DPI on the 3rd and 2 to Bush. Total bullshit OPI on Calvin. 15 extra yards given to the Bengals on the blocked FG. Such crap

Defense shit the bed. Made Dalton look like Aaron Rodgers

Stafford missed a couple of throws that were huge but played good.

Calvin gets no respect from the refs. I dont get it.

Special teams killed us and its why we lost

We're right there but so far away with this team..lol

My take in a nutshell....

I disagree. We're getting closer with this team. To come back and score on that defense speaks volumes. Not saying we're Super Bowl bound but we almost beat a very good team today. We need to clean up on STs and tighten up that defense......we're not that bad.

Every week someone sets a personal best on us lol. The entire defense is shit starting upfront with the most overhyped dline in football.

We'll see how they rebound against Dallas. They better come fired up at home against another 4-3 team. Lions are still the 6th seed as of now. No way it's a lost cause. Too much talent on the team. Dline needs a big game next week to stop Romo.

That's a lie. 75 QB rating going into this game. Dalton got time. Benglas have a very good pass pro Oline.

Lions Dline will rebound.

Ive never been this disgusted with this team. This defense had me fooled for way too many games this season. I actually thought they were better this year. With all the money invested in the dline, how is it still so terrible?

You slow? This dline hasnt done much the entire season. I agree with Hughes on this one. It is what it is. Nothing special about the best...I mean the most overrated DT tandem in the NFL.

Not a lie....he set a personal best for yards thrown today.

Rebound from what? They were one of the worst dlines going into the game too.

Yep, 26th in the league in sacks heading into the monstrous 1 sack game today. If Mathis has a huge game tonight he might end the game with as many sacks as the Detroit Lions have this year

Suh has been beasting it this year. Stop looking at sacks and tackles, he's doubleteamed almost every play. Its his other DLinemen that need to step up and they havent at times.

i loved the way Taylor played today though. Time for this kid to start getting more looks

Defense was shit today....i agree. I wont argue that but i think the hype is ridiculous anyways. The only guy worth a spit is Suh. Fairley is the one who talked themselves up to begin with. I love Ansah but he's unproven. I love Fairley too but he needs to stay healthy. The rest are solid backups......why this DLine is so hyped up confuses me.
