I really wanted to watch the Colts vs Broncos tonight. After a Lions loss though its not the same.

I feel the same way.. Why bother with the rest of the NFL when your own team losses a game it should have won.

Lions have tons of hits and hurries. Not just about sacks. 13 turnovers forced and good 3rd down. One bad game does not make them shit. Especially from 10 points with not far to drive because of special teams.

Cinch is very good in pass pro. Lions dline will rebound against Dallas. This d is far from terrible
7th best in terms of overall pressure coming into this week

It's Suh and the d-lines fault that our corners can't cover anybody and give receivers 10 yard cushions on 3rd and 5's.... Gunther is a joke of a d coordinator in my opinion. I say keep Schwartz and get new offensive and defensive coordinators in here ASAP.

Freaking other teams can march down the field with less then a minute and with 2 time outs and 45 seconds we just sit there and run the ball. Other teams try for points we just do nothing.. Then when we did have the ball at the end of the game the coaching staff had no real game plan for what they wanted to do?
It was pathetic.

Home now from that brutal loss. Couple of thoughts:

Crushing to lose such a close one, but our team is terrible in close games. One major problem which seems to be the theme of this thread is that our coaches play not to lose rather than to win. We always have the most conservative game plan and only when that goes to shit and Stafford feeds the beast that is Calvin Johnson do we turn things around. I hope I'm wrong but...We will never win big games with this staff.

Speaking of Megatron the game wouldn't have even been close without his absolute epicness. He is an all time great, the Barry Sanders of wideouts. To the guy who crawled out from under his rock to throw out Dez and AJ Green, CJ is the receiver those recovers want to be when they grow up. They are probably going out for Halloween as him.

The other all time great showed up today as well. Back the brinks truck up to Suh's door and dump the contents on his porch. Any pressure at all we had from Gunther's pathetic defense was from this behemoth. It would break my heart to see him in another jersey, he is the Megatron of the defense.

Two relative stalwarts sucked huge, LKP will say Houston is recovering from a hamstring or some other BS, but he was torched like a maglite. Tulloch was pancaked all afternoon and looks like he has lost a step. Ashlee Palmer is replacement level at best, but for the life of me I have no idea how he got matched up with AJ Green on one play.

The newest addition Sam Martin really let us down at the end of the game. I don't know if he was hurt, but that last punt was sorry.
