Game 94 Tigers vs. blue jays July 19, 2019

It might be us. Why are we still watching?

Trainwrecks are notorious for being hard to look away from.

Besides we might very well be witnessing what will become the worst team ever in MLB history, for a very long time...that is...unless the '20 and '21 Tigers teams will be progressively worse.

Nice homecoming, boys!!

But the blue jays were the ones who provided the bigger and better fireworks display tonight.

Gardenhire expresses disappointment in post game interview says they probably played one of their worst games of the year and in front of the nice crowd tonight he’s not happy about that at all

redsux had ex-Tiger jd martinez playing in RF last night...with predictable results, turning what should have been a double into a two-base error and score. He, along with ex-Tiger price on the mound, turned the game into a rout for the orioles.

The commenters on the BYB game thread last night, also noticed the FSD crew often eschewing the live action on the field for their own personal hitting philosophies and "pick the stick" competition, among other trivialities. They esp took aim @ Shep, who as the PBP announcer, is supposed to take control over the narrative, and refocus attention upon the game @ hand.

While I can understand not having much if any respect for this gawdawful collection of mostly castoffs and scrubs, the game of baseball and the viewing audience certainly does deserve to have their respect and attention @ all times.

Blue Jays 12 - Tigers 1: Marcus Stroman was impressive, but the Tigers were not.
The Tigers are now within a half game of the worst record in baseball.

THE SATURDAY SURVEY,
Totally Tigers

The Saturday Survey offers another way for readers to weigh in on a relevant topic. So here is a poll to gauge the pulse of our baseball-lovin? peeps.

As always, we welcome your comments, so please vote and then submit your reasons ( 4 sentences max!) for how you voted in the usual comment box. Don?t forget to come back later and view the results!

The Tigers have won only 6 games (through Thursday?s game) since June 5th and are tied with the Orioles for fewest wins (29) in MLB.

With just over 10 more weeks left in the season, where do you expect them to finish in the loss column?

Fewer than the 98 losses of 2017 and 2018.

98 losses again.

Just over 100.

Somewhere between 110 and 119.

Breaking the record of 43-119 they set in 2003.

Setting a new MLB record with over 120 losses.
