Game 98 Tigers vs. astros July 15, 2018

I don't remember where did we get Goodrum from? I love this guy.

Will JV stay in long enough to break his personal 14K in a game record?

After giving up those bombs, he probably wants to even more, saw him muttering to himself after the Adduci homer.

HR: Det 4, N. Goodrum (9), J. Adduci (1), J. Hicks (9), J. Candelario (13)

Interesting list of guys that hit our HR.. I like it.

Champ Jr & I are at the game.

looks like we picked the right one of the series to go to.

only problem is the tigers score all their runs when we get up from our seats.

All 4 should be playing everyday, since the beginning of the year. Candelario was a given, but the other 3 should have been starting for DET since before Opening Day.

Woo hoo! Have you told everybody that you and I went to a Tigers White Sox game together five years ago when your wife was eight months pregnant with champ Junior?

If Tigers go on to win this game and hand JV a loss=their '18 postseason win. He gave up a likely ASG start to start this game.

not yet! kinda crazy he's here now in the flesh eating cotton candy. time flies...

I know some wanted a JV gem but this feels good..

I have never rooted for former Tigers, Lions, Red Wings or Pistons players when they have played us. All too often they have done well vs Detroit over the decades.

I haven?t been paying attention at all, but I just checked MLB.com and they are listing Verlander as the number one contender for the AL Cy Young this year, closely followed by his teammate Cole.

Since the tigers suck this season I guess a consolation it would be to see Verlander win his second Cy Young, virtually guaranteeing his entrance to the Hall of Fame which he probably is guaranteed already anyway. I can?t imagine he wouldn?t go in as a tiger.

What do you guys think?

I loved JV when he was here and will love him again when he retires. But right now he's just another guy.
