Green Bay vs. Seattle

Prior to this year:

First round TE, First Round RB, $$ FA First Round RB, Second Round RB, $$$ FA WR, Two Second Round WRs, Third Round WR, Traded a Fourth Round for a WR.

Your word - "garbage."

Wtf is your point?? Who cares where they were drafted or picked up in FA? lol. It's irrelevant. Some players fit, some don't. Stafford has had nothing to throw to besides Calvin. Not his fault.

Try and focus..

Why do they call them fingers? I've never seen them fing.

So a rookie TE and a #2 WR who should be a #3 is going to make him a stud. Sweet. We have a new winner for most delusional poster of the week. Grats.

Again, your knowledge of the game of football is outstanding. Tell us again how Bell isn't any good and Calvin doesn't know what he's talking about. Please lol.

And are you calling Tate a #3???? Fuck ya buddy!!! lmfao.

I'll revisit that drop statistic, because it is one of the most overblown things when put in perspective.

2013- Detroit Lions: 44 drops (highest total)
San Diego Chargers: 13 drops (lowest total)

So let's put these in perspective. The Lions dropped about 2.75 passes a game. The Chargers dropped 0.81 passes a game. The difference between the HIGHEST and the LOWEST totals in the NFL are 1.94 drops a game.

I'll do the average, because that's a better representation. 26 is about right in the middle. 1.625 a game. A little over 1 drop a game between the Lions and the average NFL team. Wow. What a huge difference.

That, paired with the fact that Stafford has statically thrown the ball more on average than any current NFL quarterback makes those stats completely overblown. Oh, and the fact that he's beating out guys like Scott Mitchell and Charlie Batch helps too.

Wow. You 100 percent whiffed on what my point is.

Your argument is that Stafford's receivers drop passes all the time. I'm saying that the drop statistic is so incredibly overblown when you actually break it down between the top teams with drops vs the average NFL team. 1 drop a game. Weeeee. That really makes Stafford even better getting past that 1 more drop a game that he has to deal with vs the average NFL team (sarcasm off).

If the Lions dropped 5 passes a game more than the average team, fine. 1 more a game. Doesn't mean shit. I bet the other QBs in the league wished they could have some inflated stats and have a coach that let them throw 40+ times in their career. It scares me you can't draw a parallel between his yardage and the pure amount of times he has thrown the pigskin.

I think it's well established that Stafford needs above average to elite players around hum to be good. He's an average QB. We can win with him. He isn't good enough to overcome drops or throw someone open. We need everyone to step up their game to help our "franchise" QB to succeed. It's not ideal but it is what we have.

Of course he will riffle a pass and impress the simpletons and unknowledgeable.

Your problem is you used simple math....therefor tony couldn't understand anything you said and reverted back to "fn" this n that "bro".

Yeah, Romo gets a bad rap for some of the choke jobs, but overall his numbers are substantially better. He has not had a bad season.

May not have had an overall bad season....but he was fuckin terrible yesterday. That L was completely on him.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Keep running your mouth though. That's what an offense is supposed to look like last night. Who gives a fuck if they throw the ball a ton?? Stop bitching about it. It's a passing league. The fn Ravens threw the ball 62x on Sunday.

And its not "my" argument that we dropped the ball the MOST in the NFL the last 2 years. Its called FACT.

Doh!!!! I understood everything he said. Just another gloom and doomer bashing our QB for no reason. Made you retards look like idiots last night.

Well, seeing as how I am talking about Stafford's career and not last night, you are a bit late to the party, but nice try (And I'm not going to rub Stafford's balls after having a great game against one of the worst teams in the NFL like a lot of people will).

I just don't understand how you continue to whiff on the point of this discussion. Matt Stafford in his 3.5 full years active in the NFL has average 40 throw a game. Your boy, Drew Brees and the New Orleans offense which you reference often, has averaged 35 throws a game in his career. Stafford gets the benefit of having 5 more attempts every game. This may be a passing league, but Stafford has had the luxury of being able to gun it a million times.

And I don't know why how many more times I have to debunk the drops. It's 1 more freaking drop a game than the average. Don't try and tell me that is a huge swing between him and the guys who have lower drop rates. It's an insignificant number, and one that people point to without doing research.

KEY drops at that!!! Talk about it all you want but key drops and just too many drops alone is the sole reason why Tate is a Lion. Best hands in the NFL the last 2-3 years. Obviously somebody in the front office cares about the drops. Stop downplaying like its no big deal...

And Stafford was either 4th or 5th last year in pass attempts so.....ya. ;)
