Why would I be mad, just pointing out the obvious, and ALL OF YOU prove me right daily. You guys don't realize how stupid you sound, then again, maybe you do, must be that arrogance thing again.

You act like MSU fans dont say the same stuff. I can give you a list of my co workers who act just as bad or worse.. My facebook has been bombarded a lot this week with little stats or comments.

Even when we beat them 80% of the time, the sparty game mattered, mostly because of the annoying fans and in-state rivalry.

I put it ahead of the ND rivalry. No question. It's always been huge and I don't mind admitting one bit. ...but I live far from ELansing. It's different for people that can't avoid an over-the-top hater through work or family or whatever.

I was sort of thinking the same thing (wondering if he included me in "you guys".) I just listed a bunch of reasons that tend to cause people to mis-characterize a fan base. It was intended to be an argument against letting it get to you.

True. I can imagine it got him a little heated. I think it is all in good fun though. I actually think MSU has a solid team this year and should be favored in this game. I honestly don't know why it upsets them so much when we say they are not our #1 rival. They are still a rival, but they will never be the same as O$U.

I can never hate a Spartan fan, because in the end we all still root for the Red Wings, Lions, Tigers, and Pistons.

I like to watch them lose, and care about beating them so much only because I have a lot of close friends that go there. It's all about bragging rights.
